February 2026 will be the first month of the Yang Fire Horse year, with both the annual and monthly stars changing over between the 3rd and 4th of February. The first month of the year will be the most crucial month for the year of the Yang Fire Horse, and I have included the annual recommendations in this article to help you prepare for this date.

What do we do with this information?

In every building, there are good and bad palaces that affect our daily lives. How and who gets affected (good or bad) depends on who occupies which area of the home or business. The best Cure is to be aware of the influences each month and know how to capitalise on the beneficial energies or avoid the unfavourable influences either through enhancers or cures or avoidance. Knowing the effects of the influences allows us to take appropriate measures and actions to calm interactions.

So, do not get too worried when you come across a particularly bad sector – sometimes, with thought, care and the appropriate elements, we can balance any conflict of energies or compensate for the lack of an element to bring harmony to a palace. If a palace is particularly bad, avoidance is the best cure. Please do not panic when you find that your bedroom is located in an affected sector for the month. This is only a temporary influence and can be avoided.

  • Use the beneficial areas more and the areas of negative influences less. For example, if the living room is affected by conflicting energies, try not to play loud music in this room for the month. By keeping the area quiet, you successfully manipulate the effect of the energies.
  • If possible, use another door if your main door is affected this month.
  • Use the good sectors to solve existing problems, whether they concern relationships or money matters.

If your main door is affected and this is the only door you have on your property, you should take extra care in what you do during the affected month. You will know it may not be a good time to take risks, and also to take extra care of your health.

Xuan Kong Flying Stars February 2026:

February 2026 Flying starsFrom the 4th of February to the 4th of March 2026, it is the first month of the year of the Yang Fire Horse – Geng Yin (Yang Metal Tiger) month, with the ruling energy of #8 in the central grid.

Unfortunately, there are no good locations for candles during February, and it is best to avoid using them. A safer alternative this month is to use battery LED candles.

The best locations for crystals in February are the north and northeast (with equal amounts of metal).

The best location for plants in February is the southeast.

North

Sun 4 green Wen Qu romance and literacy star is a wood star. It affects the thighs, hip, buttock, bladder, and liver and can cause colds and flu and during period 9 (2024 – 2044), this is considered an inauspicious star which will require care and attention in order to avoid issues related to romance, friendship, career, general wellbeing and focus.

On the 4th of February 2026, the monthly #4 str will fly into the north palace along with the annual #6 star. Although we will have an auspicious annual star here for the year, this area is afflicted with the Three Killings and Sui Po also visiting here for the year, making this an area to treat with care in 2026.

To treat the annual #4, I would recommend introducing earth and metal cures, as this will also enhance the annual #6 star for the year ahead. Metal will have a destructive effect on the monthly #4 star, although this will not have a dangerous effect, as this is also being used on the annual star here. Please avoid fire colours in the north this month, as this will destroy the auspicious influence of the annual star.

You may have read that the #4 star is still auspicious during period 9, and while this star still has some auspicious qualities and can be used to enhance relationship prospects, this requires expert knowledge from a Feng Shui master. Please avoid trying to activate the #4 star this month unless you have an extremely good understanding of the fixed stars in your home and the formations surrounding the area.

To weaken this area, we can introduce metal and earth colours here this month such as white, silver, gold, copper, beige, yellow or terracotta, or if you prefer to work with shapes, this is a great area for square and round objects. This area is a great place for crystals in 2026, especially during February. Please do not introduce shades of green, black, blue or grey here as this will enhance the #4 star; if you already have these colours in place and cannot remove them, try to balance the energy by introducing the advised colours above.

If you have any poison arrows located outside of this sector, such as a lamp post, pylon, large corners of a building pointing towards you or general menacing look objects, it would be wise to place a Ba Gua wealth protection mirror here this month to deflect any negative energy that is coming towards your home.

If you have an entrance door located here, please be careful not to slam this door too often as this will likely activate the inauspicious #4 stars energy to bring love, relationship, social and career issues.

If you have an office or important room located here for the month, the ideal situation would be to relocate to a more auspicious sector, although if this is not possible, try to keep this area relaxed and introduce metal and earth colours to control this energy.

Try to avoid too many family photos in this area unless you have the relevant cures in place as mentioned here, as this could lead to conflict with others.

How to weaken the #4 star this month

 – introduce shades of white, silver, gold, copper, beige, yellow or terracotta etc in this sector for the month to weaken this star.

 – Avoid plants and flowers in this area.

 – Introduce crystals here to drain energy from the #4 star.

 – Keep this area calm and quiet as much as possible

Please remember that this is only a passing influence and if you follow all this advice here, your month will be just fine

recommendations and cures for the #6 visiting the north in 2026

  • If your bedroom is located in the north this year, incorporating shades of blue or black into your furnishings or décor can help support your health. A blue painting (not depicting water) is also a good choice.
  • Keep the north quiet during 2026 and avoid renovations here if possible.
  • Place a Gongwanxingman Sheng Chi Cure in the north of your home or office to enhance and protect wealth and career opportunities.
  • Crystals are highly effective in the north during 2026 and will help strengthen the positive energy of this area.
  • Place Fuqi Baota Three-Tier Pagoda bell in the north during 2026 to attract prosperity and good fortune.
  • Avoid using fire colours such as red, and refrain from lighting candles in the north unless the monthly stars indicate it is safe to do so, as this may cause health issues related to the lungs.

Northeast

Kun 2 Black (Ju Men) is an earth star and a yin Trigram. It affects the stomach, digestive, general sickness and problems with thought processes. During period 9, the #2 is considered auspicious and while we can see benefits from this star, we will need to apply care in the first few years of period 9.

In February, we will have the monthly #2 star fly into the northeast along with the annual #4. The northeast isn’t too hard to treat this month, as we can introduce earth cures for the year, along with a small amount of metal to help balance the #2 star for the month. Try to avoid large fire colours here this month, as this can bring too much energy to the #2 star, although small red colours and elements will be fine here, as this will balance with the annual star. If you are planning to use fire to weaken the annual star in 2026, I would suggest introducing the smaller items with fire colours this month.

To enhance the #2 star in the early stages of period 9 up until 2028, I would recommend placing a mix of earth cures alongside metal cures so that we do not introduce too much yang energy into this area early on. The #2 has gone from an inauspicious star to a lucky one, and while we can still activate this and get great results with health and wealth prospects, my opinion is that this energy must be handled with care in the early stages of period 9. A good cure in this stage is to place crystals in a metal bowl or dish to balance the energy as this will feed the inherent energy of the #2 earth star while also controlling the energy with metal being introduced.

When activated correctly, this star can bring good health, relationship and wealth prospects this month, and if you follow the advice above, this can be a lovely area for a commonly used room.

Although the #2 has become auspicious in period 9, if you notice that any occupants of the home or workplace suffer from stomach pains or illness, it would be wise to introduce metal here to see if this relieves the problem; this is especially so if the Matriarch (eldest female) suffers this month.

If you have an office located here for the month, a fantastic cure at any point of period 9 is to use a brown coloured mouse and keyboard pad; for my own office, I use a brown imitation leather pad at my desk to introduce the earth element which I purchased from Amazon.

Try to avoid too many metal colours on their own in this area as this will weaken the auspicious energy here; these colours are usually gold, silver, copper, bronze etc.

How to enhance the #2 star this month

 – Before 2028, enhance this area with a blend of metal and earth cures and colours.

 – Avoid metal colours on their own in this sector.

 – This is a good area to store paperwork and financial documents

 – Avoid too much physical movement in this area during the early stages of period 9.

 – Place a Ba Gua mirror in this area outside this month if you have any poison arrows towards this sector.

When activated carefully, this is a lovely influence for the month, and if you follow all this advice here, your month will be just fine.

recommendations and cures for the #4 visiting the northeast in 2026

  • Use red, orange, purple, burgundy, lilac, pink, brown, terracotta, beige, and yellow in your décor in the northeast of your home or office during 2026.
  • Place an Aochutou Protection amulet in the northeast of your home or office for the year.
  • The northeast is an ideal area to burn candles in 2026, as this will help to weaken the negative influence of the annual #4 star.
  • Avoid placing large potted plants in the northeast this year, as they will strengthen the unwanted wood energy.
  • Display Red Buddhas, such as the Paijie Laughing Protection Buddha, to help reduce the effects of the #4 star in 2026.
  • Avoid using too many green or metal colours in the northeast, as these will aggravate the annual #4 star.
  • Maintain calm and quiet in the northeast throughout the year.

East

Ch’ien 6 White The star of Heaven star (Wu Qu) is a compassionate money star and a yang Trigram, and it affects the lungs, large intestines and head and can impact the Patriarch (eldest male) although on the whole it is considered an auspicious star.

The east lines up extremely well with the annual and monthly stars during February, as you will have both stars complimenting each other with a positive influence. The monthly #6 star will fly into the east in February 2026, along with the annual #8 star, creating a great energy. To enhance this area, you can introduce earth cures and colours here; if you are introducing your annual cures, this will be sufficient to enhance the monthly star also. I would avoid introducing the metal element here in February, as this would weaken the annual #8 star.

The Ch’ien metal 6 is a conditional star and is auspicious in Period 9 (2024 – 2044). Technically, this star is losing its strength as an auspicious star during period 9, although we can still make very good use of this auspicious energy when it is activated with the right cures and enhancers. When activated correctly, the #6 star governs wealth, leadership, success and ambition and is a very good area for politicians, leaders and anyone involved in the jewellery business to spend time in this sector this month.

If you have a main door or important room fall into this area, this is very good news as human movement can help to activate and strengthen the beneficial energy that this star can bring to a home or workplace over the next few weeks.

To activate the #6 star during period 9, the best elements to introduce to this area are earth cures or colours such as beige, yellow, terracotta or brown. Please avoid placing water, fire or wood cures and colours here this month, such as red, orange, burgundy, purple, lilac, green, black, grey or blue, as this will weaken or destroy this auspicious influence. If you are planning to place fire colours here for the annual star, I would place small amounts here for now.

This is a great area for crystals this month as this will help to activate the #6 star, bringing career and business opportunities. Please avoid candles and plants in this sector.

Although the #6 star can bring accomplishments and progress, having this star located in a bedroom can bring problems related to the throat, legs and/or breathing; this is especially so for the eldest male and males in general of the household. If you have a bedroom located here and cannot move out of this room, please introduce very small water cures along with blue, black, grey or charcoal colours to weaken the influence of the #6 star.

How to enhance the #6 star this month

 – If you have a bedroom that falls into this area, introduce limited shades of blue or black in your furnishing or décor to help with health this month. A blue painting (not a water scene) may also do.

 – Avoid plants and flowers in this area this month

 – Real quartz crystal is very good in this area for the month as are faceted crystal spheres.

 – Avoid colours red and candles in this area this month

This is a lovely influence for the month and if you follow all this advice here your month will be just fine.

Recommendations for the annual #8 star in the east for 2026:

  • Place a Xingwang wish and romance enhancer in the east of your home or office during 2026 to strengthen the positive energy in this area.
  • Keep the east clean, organised, and clutter-free throughout the year to encourage the smooth flow of fresh Qi and fully activate this auspicious energy.
  • Display family photos and meaningful memorabilia in the east, as this is a wonderful area for nurturing love, harmony, and relationships in 2026.
  • Avoid using metal colours such as white, silver, gold, copper, or bronze in this area, as these can weaken the positive energy of the annual star.
  • The east is also a good study and learning area for children — place a task light and a crystal globe on the desk to enhance focus and academic success.
  • For those looking to strengthen romantic relationships, a pair of rose quartz Mandarin Ducks placed in the east this year will serve as a powerful romance enhancer.

Southeast

Tui 7 Red (Po Jun) robbery star is a metal star and a yin trigram, which is known as the mischievous Po Jun #7 argumentative red star. and in period 9 (2024 – 2044), this is an inauspicious star which can cause many issues related to robbery, deception, arguments and overall bad luck this month. The trigram Tui is also known as’ Broken Soldier’. This is a fighting star which can cause problems if left alone, the #7 Red indicates a high risk of burglary, deception, copyright theft, gossip and backstabbing.

In February, we will have the monthly #7 star fly into the southeast palace along with the annual #9 star, and we will need to treat this area with wood and fire cures to both enhance the annual star, and also drain energy from the monthly #7 star. The fire will have a destructive effect on the #7 star, although this won’t cause issues, as this will also be enhancing the annual star.

This is not a good area for anyone with a creative career, such as an artist or writer and is also not a good place for children studying (especially the youngest daughter and females in general), although please try not to worry as a calm environment along with the right cures will help to control this energy and avoid It being activated.

If your entrance door is located in this sector or a window that is large enough for someone to enter through, please make sure that you check over the security here and make upgrades as necessary. It would be wise to check smoke alarms, CO2 sensors and other safety devices that are located in this sector, also. Please take this advice seriously as I have been doing this a long time and I know when this combination meets it can cause many problems this month.

You should also hang a flat Ba Gua mirror with a Chinese i-ching coin on the back for added protection this month especially if you have a main door here.

I will repeat that it is very important to make sure that security is up to date and working correctly in your home and workplace as this star can bring security related issues when activated. Make sure that windows and doors are locked securely when leaving the building, and do not leave anything valuable on display by your windowsills.

It pays to be wise and avoid taking too many risks, for there may be unscrupulous people working against you. There are indications of misunderstandings, pressure and business rivalries that could also lead to losses. Keep this area quiet, and doors and windows kept closed this month.

Good colours to use in this sector this month are green or red, orange, burgundy, pink etc. If you have an office or door in this area, be careful of people trying to deceive you, robbery, arguments and loss of wealth; always look at the very small print and be careful as this star normally causes problems with people who are close to you.

How to weaken the #7 star this month

 – Introduce different shades of green or red, orange, burgundy, pink etc colours in your decoration. You can introduce the colour with cushions, rugs, bed covers or doormats.

 – Avoid candles in this area during February, as this can create too much fire energy.

 – Install or service/upgrade smoke alarms and security systems.

 – Potted plants will work well here, although make sure that you limit them to 1, 3, or 4 plants together in this sector.

 – Avoid crystal and earth colours in this area this month.

 – Do not hang metal wind chimes here.

Remember this is only a passing influence for the month, and if you follow all this advice here, your month will be just fine.

recommendations and cures for the #9 visiting the southeast in 2026

  • Healthy green leafy plants or blue flowering plants, such as violets, are excellent additions to the southeast in 2026, as they help to nourish the positive energy of this area.
  • Place a Yurijujin Master Cure in the southeast to strengthen and enhance the auspicious influence of the annual #9 star.
  • Displaying fresh flowers in this area will also attract and circulate positive Qi throughout your home or workplace.
  • You can safely burn candles here during 2026 to reinforce the inherent fire energy of the #9 star.
  • Place symbolic objects such as a Wu Lou or eight Chinese I-Ching coins in this sector throughout the year to enhance benevolent energy and protect against the malevolent monthly #5 star that visits in April and January (2027).
  • Position a Ru Yi wealth enhancer statue in the southeast in 2026 to boost prosperity, fame, and recognition.
  • Decorate the southeast with fire colours such as red, orange, purple, burgundy, lilac, and pink to further activate and support the positive energy of this auspicious area.

South

The Chen 3 Jade Star (Lu Cun Xing) is associated with the wood element and is a yang Trigram. This star has an influence on the feet, lungs, liver, bladder, limbs, and can even provoke hysteria when activated. The #3 star affects the wellbeing of the eldest son and is generally considered an inauspicious during period 9 (2024 – 2044), requiring remedies or avoidance in this area for the month.

The South is a very problematic area in February, as we will have the monthly #3 star fly in, along with the annual #5 star and Tai Sui, making this a nasty area when activated. To treat this area in February, the best thing you can do is introduce metal cures, along with a Wen Zhe Tai sui plaque, especially if you have a bedroom, living room, kitchen or other commonly used room here. Please do not use fire cures and colours here in February, as this will enhance the annual #5.

Please be aware that when this star is activated, it can bring theft, disputes, heated arguments, wealth loss, and legal issues, particularly if the main entrance or significant rooms are situated here during this month.

If your bedroom, office, living room, main door, or other commonly used space is located in this area and relocating is not an option this month, please pay close attention to this section. The good news is that now you are aware of the unfavourable nature of this star, there is a lot that can be done with ease to avoid this star becoming activated.

To counteract the energy of the #3 star, you should introduce metal decorative objects in this sector for the month.

If your main entrance or a vital room, like an office, lounge, or study, falls in this area, take your time when signing documents throughout the month as mistakes can be easily made. The presence of the Chen 3 in Period 9 is indicative of potential conflicts, disagreements, betrayal, and in extreme cases, legal disputes, leading to financial loss. In either scenario, it results in wasted time, energy, and wealth, so be cautious, especially if your main door is located here. If possible, consider using an alternative entrance and exit. Hanging a Ba Gua wealth protection mirror will help to deflect any negative qi from the outside entering your home.

Avoid noisy renovations, redecoration, or ground disturbances, such as digging, foundation work, or loud maintenance, inside or outside your property or garden in this area for the month.

How to weaken the #3 star this month

 – During hot summer months, ensure that noisy portable air con units are not positioned in this area.

– I would recommend placing the recommended metal cures here for the year, as this will balance between the monthly and annual stars, and provide necessary protection to the south for 2026.

 – Enhance security measures for your home or business before the month begins, and check smoke alarms.

 – Analyse all documents and paperwork thoroughly before signing, especially if the main entrance is located here.

 – Aim to maintain a quiet environment here this month and avoid loud noises in this area.

 – Take care, as there could be potential betrayal when this star is activated, which can be subtle and unexpected.

 – Most importantly, refrain from disturbing the ground, both inside and outside.

 – Remember, this influence is a passing influence for the month, and by following this advice, you can navigate through it successfully.

recommendations and cures for the #5 visiting the south in 2026

  • Avoid having the TV or radio at too high a volume in the south in 2026
  • Keep the south of your home clear and tidy throughout the year.
  • Place a Wen Zhe Tai Sui gold plated plaque to appease Tai Sui for the year
  • Do not introduce any red or earth colours to the south this year. Silver, gold or white beddings and curtains are good colours to use.
  • Place a salt water cure in the south of the building, along with six Chinese coins tied in a row with red ribbon and six hollow metal rod wind chime.
  • The six coins in a row and salt cure are crucial cures to place in 2026; please do not forget them.
  • Place a Brass Wu-Lou in the south, especially if your bedroom falls into this area.
  • Avoid fire colours and candles in the south this year.
  • Tsai Shen Yeh (God of wealth) in gold colour is very effective at reducing the bad earth and protecting your wealth.

Southwest

The 5 Yellow (Lian Zhen) star of tragedy is located in this area this month, and in period 9 (2024 – 2044), the #5 star will still remain a dangerous and inauspicious star which will require care and good quality metal cures to control this influence. When activated, this star will impact overall luck and bring a wide range of health issues, particularly those related to the mind, such as thought process disruptions, lack of energy, and procrastination. The #5 star does not have a trigram and no yin or yang energy so to speak, and will impact all occupants of a home or business when disturbed, making the malicious energy of this star particularly disruptive during period 9.

In February 2026, the monthly #5 star will fly in for the month, along with the annual #7 star, and we will need to treat this area with water cures and colours to balance between both elements. Luckily, the recommended advice for the southwest in 2026 is to introduce water colours to weaken the annual #7 star, so this will be easy to implement. I would also recommend introducing a salt cure here to help control the #5 star. You can introduce metal here in February, although please stick to small traditional cures, rather than colours here.

The energy of the #5 star remains malicious and will benefit from a salt water cure here this month to help control and settle the energy of this influence, otherwise, this can bring many problems. If you have a bedroom, office, living room, main door or other commonly used room located here for the month, please read this section carefully as there is much you can do to avoid activating this area, so please try to take this information with a pinch of salt.

The 5 Yellow, also called ‘Wu Huang or Lian Zhen’ in Chinese, is one of the nasty afflictions during period 9. It is an extremely unstable star. It has no gender and no trigram and is highly treacherous when disturbed. When disturbed, its malicious influence brings tragedy, sickness, lawsuits and major loss of wealth. Do be careful with it. Stillness together with water element cures, can keep its negative influences at bay, and you must avoid using fire energy like reds and candles in this area this month. If you have a gas hob in this area, this will be fine to use this month, as long as you place water cures in this sector.

You MUST NEVER disturb this area inside or out with lots of drilling or knocking activities. So please be careful if you have work to do, and if you have a main door here, you should also place a flat Ba Gua wealth protection mirror.

Please do not place red objects, bright lights, candles or red coloured furnishing in this sector this month as this is a quick way to activate the malevolent energy of the #5 star. Do not worry if you have these colours already, just introduce water colours such as blue, black or grey in the way of a floor mat, cushions, throws, tablecloth or such like.

If your bathroom, cloakroom, en-suite, guest room or a large cupboard is located here, this is good for you, because these areas are not used much, and therefore, the negative power is less likely to be activated.

Do not activate this area with loud noises this month, keep area quiet and avoid at all costs building work or refurbishment. Do not use the fire element or colours red, pink or purple. Keep doors closed. Placing a Wu Lou, six coins or salt cure will be a good option for February.

The best way to weaken this influence in your home or workplace throughout period 9 is to place a salt water cure whenever you have a #5 star fall into any sector. To make this cure, you will need a jar or pint glass, table or rock salt, 6 Chinese I-Ching coins that come from a good dynasty and a red rhombus knot, which has been added to the salt cure for period 9 to promote good fortune and endless wealth luck.

How to make a salt water cure during period 9

  1. Fill a glass jar (roughly pint size); a large jam jar or pint glass will do with table or rock salt to about three-quarters full.
  2. Fill the jar to the top with tap water. It would be a good idea to place a mat under the jar to protect furniture or flooring.
  3. Place six Chinese i-ching coins on top of the salt in a circle. Make sure the coins are Yang side up; this is the side with the four Chinese characters facing upwards. Don’t worry if the coins sink into the salt as you place the coins; just check they are still yang side up.
  4. Ideally, stick the red rhombus knot to the front of the glass with glue or blu tac. If this is not possible, place the tassel at the front, laying it in any direction as long as it is at the front of the cure.
  5. The jar will form crystals over time; this shows that it is working to absorb the negative energy.
  6. Make sure the water is always topped up throughout the month.
  7. Do not cover the top of the glass, and if you place it close to the ceiling, make sure you have at least 6 inches (15cm) between the top of the glass and the ceiling.
  8. The salt water cure should not be placed inside a cupboard as it needs to be in contact with the air (qi).
  9. Try not to touch or move the jar too much, as it stores a lot of negative energy.

How to weaken the #5 star this month

 – Avoid playing loud music in this area of the home or room.

 – Do not decorate your room with red or earth colours this month. Grey, blue or white bedding and curtains are good colours to use temporarily.

 – Place a set of six Chinese coins tied in a row with red ribbon this month

 – Place a Brass Wu-Lou in this corner of the room if this is your bedroom.

 – Do not place red objects, burning candles or triangular shaped furnishing in this sector.

 – Most of all, avoid disturbing this area at all costs. Any form of renovations that needs to be done, plan it for another month. It is worth keeping this in mind.

 – Replace or at the very least cleanse your Ba Gua mirror in this area especially if you have a door here.

 – If you have a main door in this area make sure you oil the hinges and try not to let it bang shut and oil squeaky hinges.

 – If you use a fan or other machines that create noise or vibration try and avoid placing it in this part of a room this month.

Remember this is only a passing influence for the month and if you follow all this advice here your month will be just fine.

Recommendations and cures for the #7 visiting the southwest in 2026:

  • Place water and wood colours in the southwest during 2026 to help balance and control the energy of the annual #7 star.
  • Having plants in the southwest will also help to drain and weaken the negative energy of this star.
  • Try to introduce water colours, such as blue, into your décor. You can do this through cushions, rugs, bed covers, or doormats.
  • Avoid using anything related to the fire element or the colour red, as this will only aggravate the #7 star.
  • Do not light candles in the southwest this year, as this will strengthen its negative influence.
  • Place a Xiaochoujiemen Rice cure in the southwest of your home or office for protection against the harmful effects of the #7 star.
  • Make sure to install, service, or upgrade smoke alarms and security systems to safeguard your home or business.
  • Avoid hanging metal wind chimes in the southwest during 2026.

West

Kan 1 White Kan (Tang Lang) is a water element and a yang Trigram. In the physical body it is the ear. Internal organ it is the kidneys, and it is also blood. It also affects wealth, career and luck, and because it is timely in period 9 (2024 – 2044) it is considered an auspicious flying star.

The west will have the monthly #1 star fly in during February, along with the annual #3, and we will need to treat this area with care, as the stars clash with each other. My advice for the west in February would be to introduce the annual cures as recommended, along with small traditional metal cures to help activate the #1 star, as it is much safer to weaken a negative star.

This month, the energy in this area is exceptionally positive due to the #1 star falling here, which has assumed the role of the secondary wealth, relationship, and career star throughout Period 9. To make the most of this auspicious influence over the next few weeks, try to make use of this space as much as possible as long as the activity here is calm. If you have the option to use this area as an office or bedroom, this can be very beneficial this month.

Activating this area of your home or office can open doors to new opportunities, financial gains, academic achievements, as well as romance and improved relationships, particularly due to the positive peach-blossom energy here, although this will have to be done carefully in February. You can place your desk here for work, although it is important that this area is kept calm and quiet.

If this area falls into a bedroom, office, study, or any other essential room, it’s a good practice to place a wu lou or other metal objects as auspicious symbols. Hanging a set of six Chinese i-ching coins tied with red ribbon is a traditional and authentic enhancer for the #1 flying star.

Taking on building work or disturbances in this area may negatively affect the middle son’s wellbeing, potentially leading to issues with ears, kidneys, or blood-related problems, so please try to put this off until this month has passed. If there are poison arrows, such as lamp posts or large corners of a neighbouring house pointing toward this area, you should hang a flat ba gua mirror outside to deflect the negative energy. Generally, there’s no need to worry about the #1 star during Period 9, as it’s considered timely and auspicious, making this a fantastic choice for an important room that is used throughout the day.

If you have a hallway located in this area, try to keep this area bright and uncluttered as much as possible to activate the #1 star effectively.

How to enhance the #1 star this month

 – Activate with small traditional metal cures.

 – If you have a bedroom within this area, place a brass Wu-Lou. This is especially important if there are health concerns. If you would rather not place a Wu Lou, a small round object near the bed can also help.

 – Place a set of six auspicious i-ching Chinese coins tied with red ribbon (Xing Yun Qang) in a specific order, particularly if the middle son spends a lot of time in this area.

 – Avoid candles in this area during February.

 – Exercise caution when extending or refurbishing this area, especially if the middle son is weak or in poor health.

 – Add creative enhancements such as an abacus, calligraphy set, or artist tools like canvas and brushes in this area.

 – Following this advice can help you make the most of this auspicious influence for a favourable month.

Remedies and advice for the #3 visiting the West in 2026

  •  A quick and effective cure is to place a light in the West of your home or office. If possible, choose a lamp with a wooden base and a peach or red shade for the best results.
  • Place a Red Pi Yao statue in the West of your home or workplace throughout 2026 to protect against negative influences.
  • Avoid using metal cures in the West this year, and do not hang windchimes in this area.
  • Take extra security precautions for your home or business during 2026, and ensure that smoke alarms are checked regularly.
  • Regularly lighting a candle in the West of your home or office will help to weaken the effects of the annual #3 star.
  • Read all documents carefully before signing anything, especially if your office is located in the West in 2026.
  • Be cautious of potential backstabbing or hidden conflict, as it may come from someone you thought you could trust.
  • Avoid placing water features in the West unless you are confident in interpreting your fixed flying stars.
  • Introduce fire and earth colours in the West to help weaken the negative influence of the #3 wood star.

Northwest

Li 9 Purple (You Bi) Li 9 Purple is a fire star and a yin trigram and is the most auspicious governing flying star during period 9 (2024 – 2044), which became the primary wealth star for this period. When this area is activated this month, we can benefit from new opportunities in career, leading to higher roles and salary. This is a fantastic area to have an entrance door, office or bedroom located here.

The northwest is another tricky area in February, as we will have the monthly #9 fly in, along with the annual #2 star, causing a clash between these two stars. My advice for the northwest this month would be to introduce the annual cures as recommended and leave the monthly star as it is for the month. I would prioritise activating the #2 star in February, as this is the first month of the Horse year. You can still benefit from the #9 stars energy in the northwest this month by spending time in this area, as human activity will help to activate this area.

Once this star has been activated, the influence of the #9 star can manifest fame, acknowledgement, growth and general improvements for all occupants of the home and workplace. This auspicious star also enhances wealth, career and general luck during period 9.

The #9 star affects the eyes, mental disturbance, blood disorders, stomach issues and can cause problems at work, although this is only usually an issue when poison arrows are located in this area. If you have any poison arrows located in this sector outside of the building such as a lamp post, cemetery, pylons or the corner of a building pointing towards yours, please place a Ba Gua wealth protection mirror to deflect the Sha Qi from the poison arrow.

If you are able, try to make use of this auspicious influence by spending as much time as possible in this area, as it can be activated by human movement.

This sector is a fantastic area to spend time studying and working; if this falls into a usable area, such as a bedroom or living room, try to encourage children to spend time here when studying or doing homework.

This is a good area for romance and relationships, and if you can, try to locate your bed in this sector, as this will help promote a harmonious relationship throughout the month and can also help produce intelligent children. A good cure for the #9 star to enhance relationships this month is to place a red Kwan Yin statue here.

This #9 star in period 9 is a manifestation area, and it is good to place an image that represents everything you want to achieve in life; an example to some would be a picture of a beautiful home that you desire, a male or female that you admire, a car like a Ferrari or Mini, the number of children you would like, I think you are getting the picture by now, just create a dream board with all that you desire pinned to it or draw the image or you can even download some images from www.google.com this really is a very powerful way of manifesting your dreams and it really does work, remember to place the image in this area this month.

How to enhance the #9 star this month

 – Avoid moving water in this area

This is a fantastic influence for the month and if you follow all this advice here your month will be just fine.

Enhancers and advice for the #2 visiting the northwest in 2026

  • Place a Shuangjian Zhongnian Coin Talisman in the northwest during 2026 to help protect and stabilise the energies here.
  • A very effective cure for the #2 star in the early years of Period 9 is to place a metal wish bowl filled with eight small crystals.
  • Place a Hexie Ling Harmony bell Talisman in the northwest in 2026 to strengthen positive energy and attract good fortune. Try to chime the bell when you walk past it, as this will help activate the northwest.
  • If you prefer not to use traditional cures and enhancers in the northwest for 2026, you can introduce good-quality metal objects and colours, along with crystals or earth-coloured items that are smooth or square in shape, ensuring both elements are used in equal balance.
  • Avoid using red tones in this area and refrain from displaying triangular shapes or fiery images.
  • Avoid burning candles or using bright lights in the northwest this year; if you already have these colours or lights in place and they cannot be removed, balance the energy by introducing metal.

Centre

Ken 8 White Zuo Fu is an earth star and a yang Trigram and is still considered an auspicious star during period 9 (2024 – 2044); although not as strong as it was in period 8 it is still very useable. This star affects the hands, fingers, pancreas and back. It also affects wealth, career, and luck, and because it is timely in period 9, you can look forward to solid wealth and recognition luck when you activate this sector.

The centre is another tricky area with clashing elements this month, as we have the monthly #8 star fly in along with the annual #1 star. I would advise just activating the annual star from February and using traditional cures for the #8 star, such as a manifestation wish list, mandarin ducks, or photos of loved ones.

Wealth, fame, romance, prestige and distinction can be expected, especially if you have an office or commonly used room located here for the month; even if you do not, you can still activate this area and reap the rewards. When this star is activated correctly, the #8 star can bring good fortune and exciting times for the month ahead.

When activated, this influence can bring added responsibilities in your career, although please be aware that this could lead to added stress and workload, leading to stress resulting in high blood pressure or kidney problems. It is important that you maintain a good balance so that you are able to enjoy your rewards.

This cure and enhancer, when used, is a manifestation enhancer, and it is good to place an image that represents everything you want to achieve in life, an example to some would be a picture of a beautiful home that you desire, a male or female that you admire, a car like a Ferrari, Tesla or Mini, the number of children you would like, I think you are getting the picture by now, just create a dream board with all that you desire pinned to it or draw the image or you can even download some images from www.google.com this really is a very powerful way of manifesting your dreams and it really does work, remember to place the image in this area this month.

Couples with a bedroom in this location can also enjoy good relationships. There may also be a chance of producing intelligent children. Another traditional way to enhance fertility is to display peanuts in shells (groundnuts) or any seed products like black or red melon seeds (Gua zi). In Mandarin, peanuts are called ‘hua-sheng’ and for the Chinese this word is onomatopoeic in that the sound of it means the birth of many children. You should display them anywhere in the bedroom and of course, be careful if anyone in the home suffers from nut allergies.

During period 9, this sector will be treated as the relationship and romance sector, and we can expect very strong Peach Blossom luck when activating this sector. This is a great area to place a red Kwan Yin statue, a pair of rose quartz Mandarin ducks or a red Three-legged Toad.

Try to place photos of loved ones and anything of importance from your significant other here this month as this can help activate Peach Blossom luck.

Once you activate this area, it is a very strong wealth, success and romance area for the month, so try to store your important financial papers here, like pensions, stock portfolio, etc.

How to enhance the #8 star this month

 – Try to place a vision board here to help manifest your goals into reality.

 – The energies of the monthly 8 can be activated by human activities. Use this room as frequently as possible unless you have received professional advice against it.

 – Place photos of loved ones here, along with any treasured objects from your significant other

 – This is also a good study area for children. Place a task light and a crystal globe on the desk to enhance concentration.

 – A powerful romance enhancer is a pair of Mandarin Ducks or small red Kwan Yin statue in this area this month.

 – Keep the area active with open windows and doors (yang energy).

This is a lovely influence for the month and if you follow all this advice here your month will be just fine.

Enhancement summary and advice for the #1 visiting the centre in 2026

  • If your bedroom falls into the centre in 2026, place a brass Wu Lou on your bedside table or beneath your bed, and use bedding in water or metal colours such as white, silver, gold, copper, bronze, black, blue, grey, or charcoal.
  • If you prefer not to use a Wu Lou, consider positioning a heavy, round metal object near your bed. A simple and effective alternative is to place a good-quality frying pan under your bed.
  • To enhance and protect future wealth, place a Wu Lou Hugua Bottle Gourd Amulet in the centre of your home or office.
  • Avoid using earth, fire, or wood colours such as green, red, pink, purple, orange, burgundy, beige, and terracotta. Instead, choose blues, blacks, greys, charcoal, white, silver, and gold shades.
  • Place 6 Chinese I-Ching coins tied in a row in the centre to strengthen auspicious energy for the year.
  • Try to avoid burning candles too often in the centre unless the monthly flying stars indicate it is safe to do so.
  • Place a metal Feng Shui singing bowl in the centre of your home or workplace to enhance and protect the energy of the #1 star. Try to chime this when possible to help activate the area.
  • Metal objects and furniture are beneficial when placed in the centre this year.
  • Avoid using large crystals in this sector, as they can weaken the positive energy of the #1 star.
  • Click here to visit our page featuring all recommended cures and enhancers for the annual #1 star.
  • If preferred, you can use round metal shapes as substitutes for traditional Feng Shui items, though they will not be as effective. Please avoid sharp or aggressive-looking metal objects.
