Flying star advice for the annual #1 star in 2026

Kan #1 is a water element. In the physical body, it is the ear. The internal organ is the kidneys, and it is also blood. It also affects career and luck.

In period 9, the #1 star is the secondary wealth star, and when activated correctly, it can bring success in both career and finances.

The #1 star during period 9 Feng Shui
Auspicious or inauspicious – Auspicious
Influence, when activated – Enhances career, wealth, and overall luck
Enhance with – water and metal cures

Kan water #1 (Tang Lang) has flown into the central palace; this has an inherent earth energy which will be trying to destroy the #1 stars water energy, and we will need to enhance the centre with water and metal cures in 2026 to help strengthen and activate this #1 star.

The central palace will have a direct influence on the whole household and workplace, making this an essential area to correctly enhance this year. When activated, the centre helps to bring luck and advancements to career, finances and relationships.

Colour choices for the centre in 2026 – white, silver, gold, copper, bronze, black, grey, blue
Colours to avoid in the centre in 2026 – green, brown, terracotta, beige, yellow, red, orange, purple, pink, burgundy, lilac
Elements to use in the centre in 2026 – Metal and water
Elements to avoid in the centre in 2026 – Wood, fire and earth

To activate the centre in 2026, the most potent cures to place are the Wu Lou Hugua Bottle Gourd Amulet and a set of Six I-Ching coins tied in a row, as this introduces a strong metal element designed to enhance and strengthen luck and opportunities related to career, finances and overall blessings. We include the Six coins with all of our Annual cures kits, and the Wu Lou Hugua bottle gourd is included with all of our 2026 Deluxe cures and enhancers kits.

The centre is especially important to enhance in 2026, as when we have an auspicious star here, activating the area will help the energy to permeate across the whole building; this is especially important if you have an important room here, which you likely will.

How to enhance the annual #1 star in the centre in 2026

Traditionally, you would use metal cures to strengthen and water cures to nourish the inherent energy of the #1 star, bringing powerful luck in new opportunities for the occupants, resulting in success in financial ventures and academic pursuits, and enhancing romance and relationships.

If you have any poison arrows outside your home that have a clear path towards the centre of the building, such as large windows that show the centre or a main door, place a Ba Gua mirror on the exterior wall directly facing the direction of the poison arrow. Common examples of poison arrows include a busy road, a sharp corner of another building, or power lines directed at your home. The safest option is a Ba Gua wealth protection mirror, especially if you are new to using Ba Gua mirrors. Avoid using convex or concave mirrors unless specifically recommended by a professional.

If you prefer not to use the Wu Lou Hugua Bottle Gourd Amulet or other traditional cures in your home or office in 2026, you can place colours and decorations that represent the elements of water or metal. Suitable colours include grey, black, blue, white, silver, gold, copper, and bronze, which can be introduced through items such as cushions, throws, artwork, or decorative accessories. If your bedroom or office is located in the centre, please try to place some form of brass Wu Lou here to protect and enhance wealth.

Feng Shui water colours

When working with colours in the centre this year, please avoid anything that represents wood, earth or fire colours such as green, brown, terracotta, beige, yellow, red, orange, purple, pink, burgundy, or lilac, as these will drain energy from the #1 star this year, causing a loss of wealth. If you already have these colours present in the central palace of your home and they cannot be easily changed, you can leave them as they are, but try to balance them by adding complementary colours, such as water or metal colours. For example, if you have a beige carpet, you can introduce a black or white rug to create better harmony and balance in this area.

If you are introducing furniture and ornaments as cures in the centre this year, I would try choosing objects with waves and ripples or round objects, as these shapes bring good water and metal influence. If you have any heavy metal furniture, this will work well in the centre.

Businesses involved in investments, trading, jewellery, or online retailing can expect better times if they have an office or main door facing east this year.

Summary for the annual #1 star in the centre in 2026:

The best months for the centre during 2026 are February, April, August, September, October, November and January (2027).

Take extra care in March, May, June, July, and December. I would check back on our free monthly Flying Star advice to further analyse these months.

Enhancement summary and advice for the #1 visiting the centre in 2026

  • If your bedroom falls into the centre in 2026, place a brass Wu Lou on your bedside table or beneath your bed, and use bedding in water or metal colours such as white, silver, gold, copper, bronze, black, blue, grey, or charcoal.
  • If you prefer not to use a Wu Lou, consider positioning a heavy, round metal object near your bed. A simple and effective alternative is to place a good-quality frying pan under your bed.
  • To enhance and protect future wealth, place a Wu Lou Hugua Bottle Gourd Amulet in the centre of your home or office.
  • Avoid using earth, fire, or wood colours such as green, red, pink, purple, orange, burgundy, beige, and terracotta. Instead, choose blues, blacks, greys, charcoal, white, silver, and gold shades.
  • Place 6 Chinese I-Ching coins tied in a row in the centre to strengthen auspicious energy for the year.
  • Try to avoid burning candles too often in the centre unless the monthly flying stars indicate it is safe to do so.
  • Place a metal Feng Shui singing bowl in the centre of your home or workplace to enhance and protect the energy of the #1 star. Try to chime this when possible to help activate the area.
  • Metal objects and furniture are beneficial when placed in the centre this year.
  • Avoid using large crystals in this sector, as they can weaken the positive energy of the #1 star.

  • If preferred, you can use round metal shapes as substitutes for traditional Feng Shui items, though they will not be as effective. Please avoid sharp or aggressive-looking metal objects.
