Feng Shui and new born babies

feng shui baby 2My brother and his partner welcomed their first daughter in to the world a week ago and since the birth of baby Olivia, we have been going through floor plans for their home to arrange sleeping positions, colours, bad areas for noise and a great deal more. After going over everything for my new niece, I thought it would be a good idea to write an article for all of you new and expecting parents to hopefully make things a little easier in the hectic plans of preparing for a new baby.

Little Olivia is the first baby in my generations family and I never truly appreciated just how much there is to plan for a new person entering this world such as all of the classes, hospital appointments, scans, shopping for clothes, prams and hopefully having good Feng Shui will help the baby’s start in life.

To start with, I will show you the report I created for my new niece. Below is part of the report that I created which is the same as our new online Feng Shui Reports.

Feng Shui Online Report

After looking over the report, you can see that her best sleeping positions are facing the south, north, southeast and east and that she should avoid facing the southwest, northwest, northeast and west. Olivia’s crib is facing towards the southwest which is her Sheng Chi direction.

Decorating the nursery

When decorating your new child’s nursery, it is always best to look at the Flying Star chart for your home and make the changes accordingly. If you know how to lay the Flying Stars over the floor plan of your home, you are a long way ahead already; if you do not know how to do this, you can book an appointment with a Feng Shui Master Consultant to come to your home and chart your Flying Stars for your home and give you advice on colours, shapes of furniture and appropriate Cures for the whole home and also the nursery. Another option is our Academy of Feng Shui software which will overlay the Flying Star chart on your floor plan and give you advice on the different areas of your house along with who they are best suited for.

baby 3You should also take note of the 2020 Annual Flying Stars as these are present for a whole year and can be used to your advantage or may need to be controlled. For example, a nursery in the south is not a good idea as this area should be kept as calm and quiet as possible as we have the annual #2 Flying Star present here; the same goes for the Fixed #2 Flying Star. Every year, we write a really comprehensive, free article on the Annual Flying Stars and how to make the most of their influence for the year so if you would like to take a look at how to make the most of this year, you can click here.

 Colours

feng shui babyIf you are unsure of colours for a nursery, the best bit is to always go neutral although if you are using our software of have had a report from us, you will find all of the information in the reports. Olivias best colours personally are blues, blacks and greens.

Noise and movement

New born babies make a great deal of noise when they cry which is seen as yang energy. Anywhere in your home with the fixed Flying Stars #2, #3 and #5 should be kept quiet as much as possible and do not make good rooms for children and babies; unfortunately, every home is different and I can not give a straight answer as to where these stars are located in a home unless I visit although the Academy of Feng Shui software is able to do this.

The #2, #3 and #5 Annual Flying Stars are also very important to be kept quiet. Here are the Locations of these stars up until 2020.
