In every building, there are good and bad palaces that affect our daily lives. How and who gets affected (good or bad) depends on who occupies which area of the home or business. The best Cure is to be aware of the influences each month and know how to capitalise on the beneficial energies or avoid the unfavourable influences either through enhancers or cures or avoidance. Knowing the effects of the influences allows us to take appropriate measures and actions to calm interactions.

So, do not get too worried when you come across a particularly bad sector – sometimes, with thought, care and the appropriate elements, we can balance any conflict of energies or compensate for the lack of an element to bring harmony to a palace. If a palace is particularly bad, avoidance is the best cure. Please do not panic when you find that your bedroom is located in an affected sector for the month. This is only a temporary influence and can be avoided.

• Use the beneficial areas more and the areas of negative influences less. For example, if the living room is affected by conflicting energies, try not to play loud music in this room for the month. By keeping the area quiet, you successfully manipulate the effect of the energies.

From the 4th of February to the 5th of March 2024, it is the first month of they year of the Yang Wood Dragon and also Period 9 Feng Shui – Yang Fire Tiger (Bing Yin) month, with the ruling energy of #5 in the central grid.

North

Kan 1 White Kan (Tang Lang) is a water element and a yang Trigram. In the physical body it is the ear. Internal organ it is the kidneys, and it is also blood. It also affects wealth, career and luck, and because it is timely in period 9 (2024 – 2044) it is considered an auspicious flying star.

In February, we have the monthly #1 star fly into the north palace along with the annual #8 star and while we will have two auspicious stars here, these elements are in conflict. To make the most of this area in February, you should introduce the annual earth cures in place for the year and also introduce some watercolours to balance the energy. Try to avoid too large of a watercolour in the north this month such as a bed cover as this can drain energy from the auspicious annual star although smaller items such as a pillow will be fine. Please avoid metal in the north during February, as this will have a negative effect on the annual #8 star.

This month, the energy in this area is exceptionally positive due to the #1 star falling here, which has assumed the role of the secondary wealth, relationship, and career star throughout Period 9. To make the most of this auspicious influence over the next few weeks, try to make use of this space as much as possible. Northeast

Ken 8 White Zuo Fu is an earth star and a yang Trigram and is still considered an auspicious star during period 9 (2024 – 2044); although not as strong as it was in period 8 it is still very useable. This star affects the hands, fingers, pancreas and back. It also affects wealth, career, and luck, and because it is timely in period 9, you can look forward to solid wealth and recognition luck when you activate this sector.

The northeast is a lovely area in February 2024 as we will have the annual #6 star fly in along with the monthly #6 star, creating a great energy in this area. To enhance the northeast in 2024, I would introduce earth cures, as this will feed the inherent energy of the #8 star and also enhance the annual #6. If you are using metal cures for the annual star, you can keep these in place, although please try to balance this with earth energy.

Wealth, fame, romance, prestige and distinction can be expected, especially if you have an office or commonly used room located here for the month; even if you do not, you can still activate this area and reap the rewards. When this star is activated correctly, the #8 star can bring good fortune and exciting times for the month ahead. If you work with symbols, quartz crystals, crystal balls or hanging faceted crystals are very good to place here this month.

When activated, this influence can bring added responsibilities in your career, although please be aware that this could lead to added stress and workload, leading to stress resulting in high blood pressure or kidney problems. Do not place heavy metal or plants in this area of your home or office this month, as it will weaken the good earth. Please avoid any colours related to the metal and wood elements such as green, gold, silver, copper, bronze etc.

Good colours to use in this area this month are beige, brown, terracotta or yellow. Crystals are very good elements to help activate the #8 star here.

Once you activate this area it is a very strong wealth, success and romance area for the month so try and store your important financial papers here like pensions, stock portfolio etc.

How to enhance the #8 star this month

 – Hang a faceted crystal sphere in this area. Hang it above head height and twist now and again.

 – Try to place a vision board here to help manifest your goals into reality.

The Chen 3 Jade Star (Lu Cun Xing) is associated with the wood element and is a yang Trigram. This star has an influence on the feet, lungs, liver, bladder, limbs, and can even provoke hysteria when activated. The #3 star affects the wellbeing of the eldest son and is generally considered an inauspicious during period 9 (2024 – 2044), requiring remedies or avoidance in this area for the month.

In February, we will have the monthly #3 star fall into the east and will also have the annual #1 star fly in for the year and will need to to weaken the inauspicious #3 star with fire cures to get the best result out of the east this month. Introducing fire cures will slightly drain good energy from the annual star so please stick to fire colours and do not introduce candles here. You can still place your annual cures and enhancers in the east in February, although please introduce some fire colours to balance this.

Please be aware that when this star is activated, it can bring theft, disputes, heated arguments, wealth loss, and legal issues, particularly if the main entrance or significant rooms are situated here during this month.

If your bedroom, office, living room, main door, or other commonly used space is located in this area and relocating is not an option this month, please pay close attention to this section. The good news is that now you are aware of the unfavourable nature of this star, there is a lot that can be done with ease to avoid this star becoming activated.

 – Analyse all documents and paperwork thoroughly before signing, especially if the main entrance is located here.

Sun 4 green Wen Qu romance and literacy star is a wood star. It affects the thighs, hip, buttock, bladder, and liver and can cause colds and flu and during period 9 (2024 – 2044), this is considered an inauspicious star which will require care and attention in order to avoid issues related to romance, friendship, career, general wellbeing and focus.

In February 2024, we will have the monthly #4 star fly into the southeast, along with the annual #2 star, and both of these stars will take on a new nature and need to be treated accordingly for period 9 analysis. For 2024, we will be introducing a blended energy of earth and metal to carefully enhance the annual #2 star, and for the monthly #4, we will need to introduce earth cures to drain energy from the monthly star. I would try to avoid fire colours in the southeast this month as this could create too much energy for the #2 star. Please note that Tai Sui is located in the southeast in 2024, and this area will need to be kept calm.

The #4 star can bring romance and social problems this month when this star is activated and should be treated carefully with fire cures to weaken the inauspicious influence of this star. During period 8, this was an auspicious star, and we were enhancing this with wood and water cures, although please do not use these colours and elements during period 9, as this is a quick way to strengthen the malevolent influence of this star.

You may have read that the #4 star is still auspicious during period 9, and while this star still has some auspicious qualities and can be used to enhance relationship prospects, this requires expert knowledge from a Feng Shui master. Please avoid trying to activate the #4 star this month unless you have an extremely good understanding of the fixed stars in your home and the formations surrounding the area.

To weaken this area in February, we can introduce earth colours here this month such as beige, yellow, terracotta and brown, or if you prefer to work with shapes, this is a great area for square objects that mimic a flame. Please do not introduce shades of green, black, blue or grey here as this will enhance the #4 star; if you already have these colours in place and cannot remove them, try to balance the energy by introducing the advised colours above.

If you have any poison arrows located outside of this sector, such as a lamp post, pylon, large corners of a building pointing towards you or general menacing look objects, it would be wise to place a Ba Gua wealth protection mirror here this month to deflect any negative energy that is coming towards your home.

If you have an entrance door located here, please be careful not to slam this door too often as this will likely activate the inauspicious #4 stars energy to bring love, relationship, social and career issues.

If you have an office or important room located here for the month, the ideal situation would be to relocate to a more auspicious sector, although if this is not possible, try to keep this area relaxed and introduce earth colours to control this energy.

Li 9 Purple (You Bi) Li 9 Purple is a fire star and a yin trigram and is the most auspicious governing flying star during period 9 (2024 – 2044), which became the primary wealth star for this period. When this area is activated this month, we can benefit from new opportunities in career, leading to higher roles and salary. This is a fantastic area to have an entrance door, office or bedroom located here.

The south will have the annual #7 fly in for the year, along with the Three Killings this month, making this an inauspicious area, although we will also have the monthly #9 star fly in for the month. For the south in February, I would recommend introducing wood cures as this will help drain energy from the annual star and also enhance the annual star for the month. You can use candles here in February, although please use them sparingly.

Once this star has been activated, the influence of the #9 star can manifest fame, acknowledgement, growth and general improvements for all occupants of the home and workplace. This auspicious star also enhances wealth, career and general luck during period 9.

The #9 star affects the eyes, mental disturbance, blood disorders, stomach issues and can cause problems at work, although this is only usually an issue when poison arrows are located in this area. If you have any poison arrows located in this sector outside of the building such as a lamp post, cemetery, pylons or the corner of a building pointing towards yours, please place a Ba Gua wealth protection mirror to deflect the Sha Qi from the poison arrow.

If you are able to, try and make use of this auspicious influence by spending time in this area as much as possible as this can be activated by human movement. Good elements to use here are wood and fire cures such as potted plants or candles. Good colour choices for this in February are different shades of green. Please avoid large crystals (over 6 inches in size) and moving water in this sector as this will weaken or destroy the auspicious influence of the #9 star. Avoid colours like brown, yellow, terracotta and beige. Black grey and blue are not ideal, although when placing them for the annual #7 star, this will spread the energy and will be ok to use.

This sector is a fantastic area to spend time studying and working; if this falls into a useable area such as a bedroom or living room, try to encourage children to spend time here when studying or doing homework.

This is a good area for romance and relationships and if you can, try to locate your bed in this sector as this will help promote a harmonious relationship throughout the month and can also help produce intelligent children. A good cure for the #9 star to enhance relationships this month is to place a Kwan Yin statue here.

Southwest

Kun 2 Black (Ju Men) is an earth star and a yin Trigram. It affects the stomach, digestive, general sickness and problems with thought processes. During period 9, the #2 is considered auspicious and while we can see benefits from this star, we will need to apply care in the first few years of period 9.

In February 2024, the monthly #2 star will fly into the southwest, along with the annual #9 star, and we can enjoy a good combination in this area. To enhance the monthly star, you can place a balanced mix of metal and earth cures here. If you are using fire cures for the annual star, these can stay in place in February.  

To enhance the #2 star in the early stages of period 9 up until 2028, I would recommend placing a mix of earth cures alongside metal cures so that we do not introduce too much yang energy into this area early on. The #2 has gone from an inauspicious star to a lucky one, and while we can still activate this and get great results with health and wealth prospects, my opinion is that this energy must be handled with care in the early stages of period 9. A good cure in this stage is to place crystals in a metal bowl or dish to balance the energy as this will feed the inherent energy of the #2 earth star while also controlling the energy with metal being introduced.

When activated correctly, this star can bring good health, relationship and wealth prospects this month, and if you follow the advice above, this can be a lovely area for a commonly used room. As the #2 star went from an inauspicious star to an auspicious star, I would keep this area tranquil for the first few years of period 9 and avoid using this room for any physical exercise.

Although the #2 has become auspicious in period 9, if you notice that any occupants of the home or workplace suffer from stomach pains or illness, it would be wise to introduce metal here to see if this relieves the problem; this is especially so if the Matriarch (eldest female) suffers this month.

If you have an office located here for the month, a fantastic cure at any point of period 9 is to use a brown coloured mouse and keyboard pad; for my own office, I use a brown imitation leather pad at my desk to introduce the earth element which I purchased from Amazon.

Try to avoid too many metal colours on their own in this area as this will weaken the auspicious energy here; these colours are usually gold, silver, copper, bronze etc. The safest option for this area is to use earth colours at any point in period 9, although you can also introduce fire colours safely after 2028 as a general guide, although if your fixed Flying star analysis recommends using fire colours in this sector, this will be fine to introduce here as the energy will be dispersed between the fixed and monthly stars.

How to enhance the #2 star this month

 – Before 2028, enhance this area with a blend of metal and earth cures and colours.

 – Avoid metal colours on their own in this sector.

 – This is a good area to store paperwork and financial documents

 – Avoid too much physical movement in this area during the early stages of period 9.

 – Place a Ba Gua mirror in this area outside this month if you have any poison arrows towards this sector.

When activated carefully, this is a lovely influence for the month, and if you follow all this advice here, your month will be just fine.

West

Tui 7 Red (Po Jun) robbery star is a metal star and a yin trigram, which is known as the mischievous Po Jun #7 argumentative red star. and in period 9 (2024 – 2044), this is an inauspicious star which can cause many issues related to robbery, deception, arguments and overall bad luck this month. The trigram Tui is also known as’ Broken Soldier’. This is a fighting star which can cause problems if left alone, the #7 Red indicates a high risk of burglary, deception, copyright theft, gossip and backstabbing.

The west will have the annual #5 star fly in for the year in February 2024, along with the monthly #7 star and while we will have two inauspicious stars in the same sector, this will be relatively easy to weaken both stars. For February, I would place your annual metal cures for the #5 star and also introduce water colours to weaken the monthly #7 star and also drain energy from the annual star.

If you are hanging 6-rod chimes in the west for 2024, these can stay in place, although please make sure that they are not hung somewhere very windy.

This is not a good area for anyone with a creative career, such as an artist or writer and is also not a good place for children studying (especially the youngest daughter and females in general), although please try not to worry as a calm environment along with the right cures will help to control this energy and avoid It being activated.

If your entrance door is located in this sector or a window that is large enough for someone to enter through, please make sure that you check over the security here and make upgrades as necessary. It would be wise to check smoke alarms, CO2 sensors and other safety devices that are located in this sector, also. Please take this advice seriously as I have been doing this a long time and I know when this combination meets it can cause many problems this month.

You should also hang a flat Ba Gua mirror with a Chinese i-ching coin on the back for added protection this month especially if you have a main door here.

I will repeat that it is very important to make sure that security is up to date and working correctly in your home and workplace as this star can bring security related issues when activated. Make sure that windows and doors are locked securely when leaving the building, and do not leave anything valuable on display by your windowsills.

It pays to be wise and avoid taking too many risks, for there may be unscrupulous people working against you. There are indications of misunderstandings, pressure and business rivalries that could also lead to losses. Keep this area quiet, and doors and windows kept closed this month.

Good colours to use in this sector this month are blue, black and greyPlease avoid using any earth colours here, such as red, orange, burgundy, pink, lilac, beige, yellow, terracotta or brown and make sure that you avoid crystals and candles here.  – Introduce different shades of blue, grey, black or charcoal colours in your decoration. You can introduce the colour with cushions, rugs, bed covers or doormats.

 – Do not use anything of fire element or colours red to control it as this may aggravate it.

 – Avoid candles in this area at all costs.

 – Install or service/upgrade smoke alarms and security systems.

 – Avoid crystal and earth colours in this area this month.

Northwest

Ch’ien 6 White The star of Heaven star (Wu Qu) is a compassionate money star and a yang Trigram, and it affects the lungs, large intestines and head and can impact the Patriarch (eldest male) although on the whole it is considered an auspicious star.

In February 2024, the northwest will have the annual #4 star fly in, along with Sui Po for the year, and will also have the monthly #6 star fly in for the month. To treat this area in February, I would place the recommended annual cures for the #4 star and for the monthly star, I would introduce earth cures, as this will enhance the monthly star and drain energy from the annual star.

If you are introducing fire cures and colours for the annual star, these can go in place in February, although please be sure to introduce earth cures to balance the energy here. I would avoid candles in the northwest during February.

The Ch’ien metal 6 is a conditional star and is auspicious in Period 9 (2024 – 2044). Technically, this star is losing its strength as an auspicious star during period 9, although we can still make very good use of this auspicious energy when it is activated with the right cures and enhancers. When activated correctly, the #6 star governs wealth, leadership, success and ambition and is a very good area for politicians, leaders and anyone involved in the jewellery business to spend time in this sector this month.

If you have a main door or important room fall into this area, this is very good news as human movement can help to activate and strengthen the beneficial energy that this star can bring to a home or workplace over the next few weeks.

To activate the #6 star during February, the best element to introduce to this area is earth cures or colours such as beige, yellow, terracotta or brown. Please avoid placing water or wood cures and colours here this month, such green, black, grey or blue, as this will weaken or destroy this auspicious influence. If you already have these colours and cannot easily remove them, try to balance them with similar amounts of metal or earth colours.

This is a great area for crystals this month as this will help to activate the #6 star, bringing career and business opportunities. Do not activate this area with loud noises this month, keep area quiet and avoid at all costs building work or refurbishment. Place a Wu Lou and six coins here along with metal ornaments. Use colours white, silver, gold or copper. I will repeat this part, as it is so important, please keep this area of your home or office as quiet as possible this month, avoid redecoration and building work in this part of your home or office.

The best way to weaken this influence in your home or workplace throughout period 9 is to place a salt water cure whenever you have a #5 star fall into any sector. To make this cure, you will need a jar or pint glass, table or rock salt, 6 Chinese I-Ching coins that come from a good dynasty and a red rhombus knot, which has been added to the salt cure for period 9 to promote good fortune and endless wealth luck.

How to weaken the #5 star this month

 – Avoid playing loud music in this area of the home or room.

 – Do not decorate your room with earth colours this month. white bedding and curtains are good colours to use temporarily.

 – Place a set of six Chinese coins tied in a row with red ribbon this month

 – Place a Brass Wu-Lou in this corner of the room if this is your bedroom.

 – Do not burn candles in this sector.

 – Most of all, avoid disturbing this area at all costs. Any form of renovations that needs to be done, plan it for another month. It is worth keeping this in mind.

 – A Pi Yao in a gold colour is very effective at not only reducing the bad earth but by also protecting your wealth for the month in this area.

 – If you have a main door in this area make sure you oil the hinges and try not to let it bang shut and oil squeaky hinges.

 – If you use a fan or other machines that create noise or vibration try and avoid placing it in this part of a room this month.
