This week…

I had a call this week from an old client/friend who said how trilled he was to hear I had a Blog, that is until he looked at it and said how disappointed he was. He said he was expecting more of a journal/diary type blog with daily entries, hmmm. Not sure I can do daily but I will see how things go. Jo (my wife) liked the idea as she said she could look at the blog to find out where I am, now should I be reading anything into this comment?

Last week I was in north Wales (revisiting old clients in same home from 2003), London and Wolverhampton (old clients from 2001, now in a new home).

This coming week I am in Newcastle, Wolverhampton and Le Touquet (France). I am just so glad the weather has improved, it makes so much difference and a real bonus when I sat on the beach Monday evening soaking in some sun and then going for a swim and a sauna in the hotel spa afterwards, have a look at the photo below to see if you recognise where in the world I was Monday? Answers on a postcard please or leave a message at the bottom of the page. Have a lovely week.

Where in the world?

The sunset photo below I took Monday evening (30th August) and had to cheekily pull into someone’s driveway to take it, if it was your driveway, please accept my apologies but I could not let the Kodak moment pass.

I love the sunset photo but have no idea where it is, hopefuly you will let us know after a time?

How often do you come to Newcastle Michael? I spoke to you a few years ago about your courses that you run, do you teach them in Newcastle or around this area?

Love the website

Hi I really loved your website and the generosity with which you write. I am starting a professional organizing business, but I’m not a certified feng shui practioner. I am self taught (still have lots and lots to learn) but I try to offer common sense solutions to restoring order and harmony to my clients’ homes and in a way that is cost effective that is based on the principles of form feng shui.

My last client could only afford the organization of his home office. But I peaked into his bedroom (he was a really nice man living with some personal challenges). I asked him playfully if he ever wanted to have sex again. I suggested some simple solutions to remedying the problem.

Anyway, I ran into him a year later. He got a call out of the blue with a job offer that is giving him the challenges and financial rewards that he was seeking.

November (2007) will bring the arrival of his first child!

I was so happy for him and feel that I helped him infuse positive energy into his home.

But I have this nagging feeling. It will take me years to know even a portion of the art of feng shui.

Do you think that I do a disservice to my clients by saying that I use feng shui as one of my organizing tools?

I always disclose that I am self taught and that I use the principles as part of a common sense approach to organizing.

Thanks for listening and I hope you are having a great time in France.

Best regards

Wanda

Thank you so much for your article about beams in the bedroom – my partner and I have just moved to the loveliest of houses with lots of beams and I was terrified that our relationship would fall apart. I had been scared into this way of thinking by reading almost everywhere that beams are bad – our house was built in the 17th century and they are everywhere!!!
