Pi Yao 2017

When someone asks you what is Feng Shui, chances are that you mention Pi Yao along with the many other Cures and Enhancers when you are trying to explain how Feng Shui works; the reason to this is because the Pi Yao is one of the most popular Feng Shui Cures that exists along with the Buddha, Dragon, Fu Dogs and more.

The Pi Yao goes by different names such as Pi Xiu (earthly form) or Pi Kan (Water form) and is recognised as a very powerful Cure and Enhancer all around the world. The Pi Yao can be quite confusing to explain to some people as it looks similar to a small dragon but with wings and when understood, you will realise that the Pi Yao offers protection and auspicious luck and is also known as the lottery god as many believe by placing lottery cards under him will bring good luck.

Academy of Feng Shui Sheng Chi Lottery Numbers

Our Academy of Feng Shui Software has a lucky lottery number generator which picks numbers based on your Sheng Chi numbers. We have had endless reviews from clients who have had good money come in from using this method. If you know your personal Sheng Chi directions, you should place these under your Pi Yao or maybe take a look at our software here by clicking this link.

The Pi Yao is one the most popular symbols used in Feng Shui and recommended by virtually all Feng Shui Masters. It is the ninth son of the Heavenly Dragon and has different names as shown above. Pi Yao lives in heaven and they are best shown sitting on Chinese coins to signify your fortune being protected, making it a powerful wealth and luck enhancer.

The history of the Pi Yao dates very far back when he broke a heavenly law and the Jade Emperor punished him by feeding him with only pieces of silver and gold and although it sounds a bit crude, his rear end was sealed which means the gold was entering him but could not leave. Metaphorically speaking, the translation of this is that when the Pi Yao is placed in a home or office, wealth is welcomed into the building and staying in the building.

Pi Yao The Pi Yao is one of the most powerful cures for protection that you can use in Feng Shui and is also a powerful enhancer but also for protection against legal problems, arguments, disputes and loss of wealth and to appease the Grand Duke (Tai Sui) which sits in the southeast in 2024.

The Pi Yao has been referred to as the Tai Sui’s pet as it always faces the area where Tai Sui is present for the year sitting in the opposite direction to appease Tai Sui and in 2024, the Pi Yao should sit in the northwest and face the southeast.

The most popular Cure used in big corporations has always been a pair of Fu Dogs although, in more recent times, many big corporations and smaller businesses have started placing a large Pi Yao outside companies such as banks, casinos and other businesses that handle high volumes of money. You have to be careful when placing Pi Yao’s as one of the most important aspects of this cure is the overall size of the Pi Yao; in traditional Feng Shui you have auspicious and inauspicious measurements and the entire measurement should fall within a Chai sector which is approximately between 0 – 55mm and this Pi Yao is nicely sited within 50mm (Chai) which is said to bring wealth creation and protection and said to bring six types of good fortune.

In traditional authentic Feng Shui measurement is so very important and even a few more millimetres on a Pi Yao would take the sector into Pi which is said to bring legal problems with government and loss of wealth. Our Feng Shui software has all the measurements built into it and it is something we have personally used with great results for many years. With size being so important, we make sure that every Pi Yao that we sell falls in line with an auspicious measurement which is very often overlooked with many Feng Shui suppliers.

The Pi Yao provides a minimum of six blessings as follows:

  1. Conducts good luck and fortune
  2. Generate good Feng Shui or earth luck
  3. Enhances wealth and riches
  4. Protects individuals and building
  5. Protects against evil forces, obstacles and hardship
  6. Brings unexpected windfall luck

Pi Yao

I was sent the following story on our Facebook page from a lady who found a Pi Yao in a second-hand store and after cleansing the Pi Yao, gave it to her friend; you’ll be amazed by the power that even a second hand Pi Yao holds.

I have a little story about a Pi Yao I found and bought from a 2hand store. I was in looking for a nice glass jug, when all of a sudden I saw this little figurine in a corner, at first I thought it was one of the temple lions and thought, what a pity it had lost its mate. But looking closer I realised it was not one of the lions, it was a Pi Yao, but not in a version I had ever seen before. I then remembered a friend of mine being intrigued by the story of the Pi Yao. So I looked at him and said: “would you like to have a new owner? because I know just the person who will love and honour you to your Heart’s content”. It felt so right to buy him, I cleaned him by putting him out in the light of the full moon and also standing in bright sunlight. and two days later he was given as a birthday present to my friend…And has he brought happiness and luck to her 🙂 She wanted to build an extension to her house for years, but the bank didn’t really want to support her, but all of a sudden there was no problem. and several other things in her life just sorted themselves out without much effort…So last month she looked around in her lovely new and spacious livingroom and said” look how much has happened, so many good things this year, and it all came about after he moved in with me” she said and pointed at her Pi Yao. 🙂

  1. Hi Daniel
The three immortals are made of resin. Hand painted. I have placed them in the dining area in the south. Should i place the three immortals in the living room which is located in the south east?

    Regards
    Maya

    1. Hi Maya,

I the Three Immortals are red, I would place them in the northeast. If they are multicoloured, I would place them in the southwest.

The changeover date for the annual Flying stars is the 3rd of February and you can place them any time after this.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

    1. Hi Barry,

Obsidian is very good for relieving stress so in that sense, it can be good for high stakes gambling.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  2. Dear Daniel,

Just bought my bracelet today. Just wondering if it is okay to activate it by leaving it in the sun for two hours

    1. Hi Maryceline,

It is best to leave it under moonlight although sunlight will also work. Ideally, I would leave it on a windowsill overnight although that should be fine leaving it in the sun for two hours.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

        1. Hi Yuka,

You would ideally leave the cures outside exposed to the sky to cleanse the cures of negative energy.

          I hope this helps.

          Kind regards,
          Daniel

  3. I bought a Pixiu 999 gold ring. Does the size of the Pixiu matter? And also I am born on 17 sept 1997 so I’m a fire ox, so will there be any positive outcome?

    1. Hi Ambuj,

I would just make sure that the ring is comfortable and not too large.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

      1. Good day! Just got my pixiu bracelet a week ago, and just found out that my zodiac which is tiger is incompatible with the pixiu, what should I do with the pixiu, should I just leave it at home and just not wear it or should I give it to other person?!

        1. Hi Christine,

I personally do not believe that any of the twelve Chinese animals are in conflict with the Pi Yao although if you do not feel comfortable wearing the bracelet, you could give it to a friend or family member.

          I hope this helps.

          Kind regards,
          Daniel

  4. Hello , I bought a Pixiu/piyao online , it’s made of copper . However there is a hole on the bottom surface of the pixiu/piyao.

Will that cause any issue or bad luck?

    Thanks

    1. Hi Marcus,

If the hole looks as though it is caused by being damaged, I would not recommend using the cure although the hole at the bottom of metal cures is usually the casting hole used to pour the molten metal into the mould and would not cause a problem.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

      1. Hi Daniel,
I have checked with the seller. the hole beneath the pixiu surface is the result of copper making.
Can i have your final confirmation that , it will not result the lost of wealth luck? or bad luck?

        Thanks
        Best regards
        Marcus

        1. Hi Marcus,

I have a few metal cures around my home with a cast hole and have never had any problem using them and would not think that this would cause problems with you Pi Yao.

          I hope this helps.

          Kind regards,
          Daniel

          1. Hi Daniel,
this may sounds strange , I have a small copper Dragon Turtle made from copper and have no casting hole(this is from a different shop) and while the bigger Pixiu which is made of copper have casting hole.

do you encounter copper cures that have no casting holes?

          2. Hi Marcus,

If the Turtle is heavier than your other cure, it may be that this is a solid filled cure rather than a hollow cast.

            I hope this helps.

            Kind regards,
            Daniel

      2. Hi, this is my first time having a pixiu bracelet. I forgot to remove it before entering the toilet. What should I do? Im worried about it.

        1. Hi Ruby,

I would recommend removing the bracelet and washing it with water and then leave it out overnight under the moonlight to cleanse it of any negative energy.

          I hope this helps.

          Kind regards,
          Daniel

      3. Hey i bought a Pi Yao dragon I wanna place it in my living room placing it southwest facing northeast but that is facing my front door not straight ahead but it does face it would that be an issue ?

        1. Hi Steph,

That will be fine to place your Pi Yao in the southwest, facing towards the northeast towards your door.

          I hope this helps.

          Kind regards,
          Daniel

  5. My husband and I got 2 pi Yao bracelets,Is it matter if it is authentic or not? We wore it in our right hand.. Thank you in advance.

    1. Hi Teresa,

It is always best to have the bracelets made out of genuine stones, rather than plastic although they will still be effective.

I would recommend wearing the bracelets on your dominant hand that you use for writing.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

      1. Hello I accidentally slept with my bracelet on.
I always see a rule saying do not sleep with the bracelet on. Im worried

        1. Hi Sasha,

If you are worried about sleeping with the bracelet on by mistake, you can cleanse the cure with water and leave it outside under moonlight for a night.

          I hope this helps.

          Kind regards,
          Daniel

  6. I got a a bracelet like about three weeks ago when I first put it on there were some numbers marked on my hands but I ignored it, because I thought it was just a marked of the piyao, but later that day I was looking for the chapes of the number and it was totally different. I sucks I didn’t pay I attention because I don’t really do lottery or anything like that. My question has nothing to do with what I said. My hand has being hurting a lot ever since I started using it, I was born the year of the tiger and I read that it wouldn’t be compatible. My dominant hands is the left hand and that’s where I use it. Why is my hands hurting and getting numb every time I use it.

    1. Hi Jenn,

Depending on the material used on the bracelet, you might be having an allergic reaction to the material. I would try taking the bracelet off for a few days and see if the ache goes away.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

    1. Hi Michelle,

You can wear the Pi Yao bracelet at any time and I would not worry about wearing the bracelet until the Ox year if I were you.

My mother’s animal is the Rat and she has a Pi Yao next to her desk without any problems.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

    2. Hi! I and my wife are both Tigers and I bought 2 bracelets of Black obsidian wealth bracelets with the dragon i think pixiu . I just received it by mail few hours ago but haven’t used it cuz I found out on you tube that people born under Tiger should not wear it. What should I do with it.

      1. Hi Jaym,

Some people believe that the Pi Yao is in conflict with certain animals although this is down to personal preference and not something I personally believe in.

        I hope this helps.

        Kind regards,
        Daniel

        1. I have always put my obsidian bracelet on the left hand but my writing hand is the right hand is that wrong because I believe left is where chi enters from please may you advise

          1. Hi Oyo,

Everyone has different beliefs on which wrist to wear jewellery on although I always recommend wearing a crystal or Pi Yao bracelet on your side that you use for writing, shaking hands etc as this side does the most important tasks and benefits from the influence of the bracelet.

            I hope this helps.

            Kind regards,
            Daniel

    3. Hi I found a Pi Yao bracelet on my workplace-first I just ignore it then second around I jus picked it up-question what should I do ?the bracelet is bigger I’m smal it’s look large -then if I keep it where should I put-it’s a dragon with gold and black combination-lease help me what should I do-and I hope it well bring us a lucky charm.

      1. Hi Mao,

I would not recommend keeping the bracelet as you could be inheriting the previous owner’s luck and there is no way to tell. The best thing to do would be to hand it in or leave it where you found it as the previous owner will hopefully find it.

        I hope this helps.

        Kind regards,
        Daniel

  7. I have bought a jade tianlu in the year 2007 from Taiwan and I did not pay attention to it basically just left it on the table for more than 10 years. There is no praying to it, no talking to it, no cleansing, nothing at all. People said I should touch it everyday and talk to it like a pet so that it will do the job of bringing wealth back to me. But I did not do that for so many years now. I am not sure if my tianlu is still active because over the years I don’t feel my wealth improves. What should I do now? Is my tianlu still there spiritually? Do I need to cleanse my tianlu? How do activate it again? I need guidance please. Thanks.

    1. Hi Daryl,

I would recommend cleansing the Tianlu of any negative energy that it has accumulated over the years by washing it with warm soapy water and leave it outside under moonlight for a whole evening.

You can then place this in the south, facing towards the north for 2020.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

      1. Hello! I work as full time job, i stay in small room as my bedroom can i put my pi yao bracelet on the table infront of bed?..

        1. Hi Lorna,

That will be fine to place on your bedside table when you are not wearing it. I would make sure the table is kept clean and free of clutter.

          I hope this helps.

          Kind regards,
          Daniel

  8. Hey Daniel,

Hope all is well. I have a few questions. I’m ambidextrous as well but I mainly use my right hand to write, yet my dominant hand is left. Can you recommend a good side?

Also, I’m a dog, and I heard I should avoid wearing. Is this true?

Last, when I remove it at night, how should I store it? Some says to have it facing the door, though is it better to face a direction instead? Thanks!

    1. Hi JP,

I would recommend wearing the bracelet on the wrist that you use for the majority of your activities.

Some people believe that the Pi Yao is in conflict with certain animals although this is down to personal preference; My father is a Dog and keeps a Pi Yao on his desk.

I would place the bracelet on our side table and have it facing towards the door.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  9. I am in financial trouble, I always prayed to have it solved and the best thing to make my problems solve is to win in a lottery; please help me experienced it🙏

    1. Hi Maria,

I’m sorry to hear that are going through problems in your life and hope that things improve for you soon.

The best thing that I can recommend is to read through the 2020 Flying stars advice and implement the recommendations, especially in the northwest and west as these are prominent financial areas.

I hope this helps and hope that your finances improve soon, Maria.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

      1. Hi Denial,
How can we get flying stars 2020? I just started wearing pixiu bracelet since yesterday. I was born in wood rabbit year. Thanks

        Madhu

    1. Hi Maya,

The best place for indoor plants in 2020 is in the west and southwest.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  10. Hi Daniel

My dining area is in the south and work office is in north. Can i put piyao statue in the dining table facing north. Or put the Pi Yao on north office facing south?

    Thanks

    1. Hi Maya,

I would recommend placing a Pi Yao in the south, facing towards the north for 2020.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  11. Hi!

Can you provide any guidance or explanation why it’s not advised to wear the pixiu during shower? I recently bought a jade pixiu pendant and it seems like it would be a pain to remove the necklace twice a day—once for sleep and once for shower?

    1. Hi Maggie,

Some people advise removing the Pi Yao when showering or using the toilet out of respect although I believe that as long as you are being respectful when wearing the Pi Yao, this would not cause a problem.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  12. I am interested in purchasing a Pi Yao bracelet as I have read so much about the many different kinds to purchase and came across your site.

You state that any age can get benefits from the Pi Yao but would firstly like to know what materials they are made of?

I looked at the Feng Shui Obsidian bracelets but it states senior people were not advised to wear them as I am a senior I declined.

Is it still quite ok for elderly people to wear the Obsidian Stone or is this the part that is not advisable for seniors to wear?

I have been interested in many different cultures and their traditional ways and have seen the Pi Yao but never really read up on their benefits.

    Thank you for your time.

    Regards,
    Susan.

    1. Hi Susan,

I haven’t heard that seniors should not use obsidian; this is a protective crystal and has healing powers which would make it great for a senior.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

      1. Thank you Daniel.
But reading many sites apparently it isn’t advisable for seniors to use feng shui.
I was given a bracelet as a present with obisidian and gold but reluctant to wear it.
I am in my early 70s but a very active person.
How will wearing one affect me?.
Your advice on this would be grateful.

        1. Hi Susan,

We have many clients in their 70’s who get great results.
If you are not happy wearing the bracelet, I would not recommend wearing it as this could have a counterproductive effect when wearing it due to you being worried about the effects.

          Kind regards,
          Daniel

          1. Good day Daniel.
I am not afraid of wearing it I just needed clarity on the consequences of wearing it if any over 70+.

I do have many bracelets and various stones in particular the Chakras and Reiki products.

I also take many different herbs and supplements from India which I do believe are helping me stay healthy.
I have been wearing the bracelet with much confidence and feel happy doing so.
Thank you for advice and if I may contact you with any questions I would appreciate it.
Thank you again for contacting me.
            Regards.
            Susan Murray.

          2. Hi Susan,

I personally can’t see you having any consequences from wearing the bracelet. Obsidian is a great crystal for purifying the body, absorbing negative energy and aiding digestion.

            I hope this helps.

            Kind regards,
            Daniel

          3. hi, what will i do to my pi yao bracelet. i wear it when i have menstraution. i wear it when sleeping. because i didnt know that don’ts? should i need to wash with water? thanks

          4. Hi Sheila,

I would recommend wearing the bracelet with whatever you feel comfortable; the idea is to be respectful to the Pi Yao so you should not wear it when arguing, fighting, having intercourse etc.

You can wash the bracelet with freshwater and leave it out to dry.

            I hope this helps.

            Kind regards,
            Daniel

  13. I have a silver and garnet double pixiu bracelet and they’re facing inwards towards each other.

Is this okay or should I take it apart and have them facing away from each other?

      1. I am year of the Dog, I just bought a piyao with black mantra beads. I saw and heard 2 fengshui experts that it shouldn’t be worn by people born under the signs dog, rabbit and tiger.
I badly love my piyao the moment I saw it. Should I still continue wearing it? Thank you

        1. Hi Hershey,

Some people say that certain animals cannot wear Pi Yao bracelets although this is not my belief. The Pi Yao is not in conflict with any of the twelve animals and would not cause problems.

          I hope this helps.

          Kind regards,

          Daniel

  14. Hello!

My name is Shayne. My boyfriend just purchased a Russian Jade bracelet with a gold Pi Yao. He is left-handed and we are confused which hand/wrist it should be worn?

    Hope you can help us.

    Thank you!

    1. Hi Shayne,

I would recommend wearing the bracelet on the dominant hand that is used to write with.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  15. Hello. I just purchased a Pi Yao Amethyst bracelet online. I am curious to know if the size of the Pi Yao on the bracelet is of any concern? Is there some standard size or something? I didn’t check the size. Iam Earth Dragón year born. I hope it won’t work in a negative way???
Thank you for taking out time to read and help.

    1. Hi Donna,

There is no standard size as far as I know.

The Pi Yao bracelet would not cause a problem if you are a Dragon as it can be worn by all of the twelve animals.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  16. Hello Daniel!

I was enticed to purchase a piyao bracelet because for the past 2 years (2018 and 2019) i had lots of misfortune and adversities. it’s 2020 now and there are lots of feng shui predictions but they are not all consistent thus I am confused whom am i going to believe in. I am year of the dragon. born in 1976. is it ok if i placed my piyao bracelet inside my cabinet coz placing it in the living room is not safe due to many people entering our house.

    1. Hi Aileen,

I always advise finding someone whos advice from previous years matches up to how you feel your year went and then follow their advice.

That will be fine to place the bracelet in a cabinet; I would wrap it in tissue or cloth so that it is safe.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

    1. Hi Gerard,

If the bracelet is chipped on the Pi Yao itself, I would recommend replacing the bracelet. If you are keeping the bracelet, I would wash it in salt water and leave it outside under moonlight for the evening.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  17. Hi Daniel,

We have a pair of big jade Pi Yao (12 kgs. each) which are placed outside, on each part of the main entrance door (facing South). We have received last week ,as a gift, another pair of Pi Yao , but smaller (15 cm length ,6 cm width) made of cristal. There are some sites where it is said that is not ok to have more than 2 Pi Yao.It is true?So where should I place the new ones if it is not true(I have put them on South facing North).
    Sincerely,

    Marian

    1. Hi Marian,

That would not cause any problems having more than one pair of Pi Yao’s.

I would not recommend placing the large Pi Yao’s in the south this year as the large earth energy will feed the natural energy of the annual #2 star.

The best place to place these is in the northwest or southeast this year.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

      1. I absolutely love my Feng Shui bracelet it was suggested I wear it on my left wrist but I am a bit confused which way the Dragon should be faced?

        1. Hi,

I would have the Dragon facing towards your hand and away from your arm for protection.

          I hope this helps.

          Kind regards,
          Daniel

  18. I am born on a rabbit sign and been wearing a piyao bracelef for months now. Is it true that it is not good for my sign to wear a piyao bracelet? Now i am sad…i would love to have a piyao or wear my piyao to protect me and give me luck…

    1. Hi Faye,

Some people say that certain animals cannot wear Pi Yao bracelets although this is not my belief. The Pi Yao is not in conflict with any of the twelve animals and would not cause problems.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

    1. Hi Jocelyn,

Pi Yao bracelets can be worn by any age or gender and are not specific to a certain type of person.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  19. Hi Daniel ,

May i know the best option to place my Pi Yao since the opposite direction of our North which is the south is our bedroom? Others said its not good to place it in that area, why?Would it be possible to place it in other direction but still would be facing north as well. Should it be eye level or below the sitting position of the Pi Yao ? Thanks in advance !

    Regards,

    marifi

    1. Hi Marifi,

That will be fine to place the Pi Yao in your bedroom as long as it is not too close to your bed. The Pi Yao should be placed off of the floor. The general rule is to be respectful to the Pi Yao and not place him anywhere near dirt or somewhere that he may be knocked.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel
