October 2005 Flying Stars

Tell a Friend about this page

I shall explain a little here what Xuan Kong
(flying stars) is in order to benefit our readers who are not familiar
with it. Please remember this is only the monthly good or bad influence,
you can enhance and cure even more by following our annual advice, follow
this link for more details.

The Xuan Kong (flying star) system addresses
the time dimension of Feng Shui of a given property (home or office).
This is an analysis of the interaction of elements (fire, earth, metal,
water and wood) within the different sectors of the property and how we
may enhance the good energies to give us support or suppress the bad energies
by keeping them at bay. Every year we put together an annual cures kit
which enhances good stars and cures bad stars; these are essential for
every home and office. These cures and enhancers kits can be placed at
any time of the year.

If you are thinking of building a house, this
is the time when we analyse the natal chart (flying star chart as below)
to determine the best locations for all doors and the allocation of important
rooms in order to harness the beneficial distribution of energy. Every
property will have good and bad stars; the secret is placing the good
stars in places like an office, bedroom, lounge or dining room and the
bad ones in places like a bathroom, en-suite, cloakroom or utility room.

In Feng Shui terms, the interaction between the energies (good or bad)
of each sector of a Xuan Kong chart above will affect the well-being of
the household.

In addition, this interaction is further influenced by the visitation
of the Annual visiting energy that represents the potential influence,
as well as the Monthly visiting energy that acts like a catalyst. These
influences are experienced in varying degrees throughout the month because
of the Daily visiting energy.

The important palaces (sectors) that affect us most are:

a. The main / front door

b. The door you use for entry and exit frequently or on a
daily basis

c. The sector where your office is located within the building

d. Your bedroom location within your property

e. The rooms that are used frequently where most activities,
noise and movement are, e.g. kitchen, living room, study or the playroom

What do we do with this information?

In every house, there are
good and bad palaces which affect our daily lives. How and who gets affected
(good or bad) depends on who occupies which area. The objective here is
to be aware of the influences and how to capitalise on the beneficial
energies or avoid the unfavourable influences either through enhancers
or cures or avoidance. Knowing the effects of the influences allows us
to take appropriate measures and actions to calm interactions. So, do
not get too worried when you come across a bad sector – sometimes with
thought, care and the appropriate elements, we can balance any conflict
of energies or compensate the lack of an element to bring harmony to a
palace. That said, if a palace is particularly bad, avoidance is the best
cure.

You do not have to run around and try to cure every affected sector of
your house. Simply be aware of the potential influences of the sectors.
The objective of this update is to prepare you by informing you of the
intangible forces of energy that exist in each sector of the house and
how these may influence your performance.

Please do not panic when
you find that your bedroom is located in an affected sector for the month.
This is only a temporary influence and can be avoided. If you cannot avoid
the room completely, then try to use the good small sectors (tai chi)
of the room. There are more details on how to do this towards the bottom
of this page.

You are only affected (positively or negatively) by the frequently used
areas. Hence the advice:

  • Use the beneficial areas more and the areas of negative influences
less. For example, if the living room is affected by conflicting energies,
try not to play loud music in this room for the month. By keeping the
area quiet, you successfully manipulate the effect of the energies.
  • If possible, use another door if your main door is negatively affected
    this month.
  • Use the good sectors to solve existing problems whether they concern
    relationships or money matters.

If your main door is affected and this is only the door you have in your
property, you should take extra care in what you do during the affected
month. You will know it may not be a good time to take risks and also
to take extra care of your health.

Many may have their annual cures in place to ensure a smooth year ahead;
if not please follow this link for more details. The annual cures can be placed
at any time of the year up until February 2006.

Xuan Kong Flying Stars October 2005:

From 8th October to 7th November 2005 is the ninth month of the Yi
You year (Yin Wood Rooster year) with the ruling energy of #9 in the central
grid.

The Beneficial Palaces for October 2005
are:

South – A wonderful influence for
those who are in the creative field from writers, artists to architects.
If your office or study is in this sector of the house or office, the
influence of the sector may propel your ideas into reality. This is the
month to work hard and pen ideas into proposals and make use of this wonderful
influence for future success. Romance is also dominant in this sector
and so for those who occupy a bedroom in this corner of the house and
are single, enjoy. A red Dragon here is very good but make sure it is
not made of metal as it will weaken the good #8 earth annual star.

A wonderful sector for couples as this is a good sector for building relationships.
Marriage may also be a possibility when under this romantic influence
of the month. This is also a good sector for those who are preparing for
exams. If your bedroom is in this corner of the house, place something
blue, e.g. throw over, rug etc, in the south corner of the bedroom. You
can also place, if you have them a pair of Mandarin Ducks to enhance romance.

Southeast – Those whose bedroom
or office door is located in this palace and who are engaged in negotiating
new venture and businesses will feel that the element is with them. Those
involved in politics will also see success. If you have activated the
primary wealth corner of your property with an outdoor water feature,
you may see gains in financial and career aspects. The benevolent qi of
this palace is very strong in this palace so make good use of this area
as much as you can. If you have a main door in this sector, leave the
door open as often as security or climate allows bringing in this benevolent
qi to benefit the rest of the house.

If there are any aspects of your life that you wish to improve this month
place a symbolic object in the southeast, an example would be if you were
applying for a new job, place the application copy forms in the southeast
or southeast of your room. If this is your bedroom though you still need
to be careful and ensure your annual cures are put in place although it
is not as bad as previous months. Make hay while the sun shines.

Offices with doors located in the southeast or an office in the southeast
may find their business go up a beat this month. The energies denote potential
business opportunities. If you happen to occupy an office in the southeast,
stride ahead with your plans and ventures. If you have a
crystal globe
this is a great place to have this month. Keep this
part of the home active and if you have children encourage them to play
here providing it is safe, this only applies to this month though.

For those who like to work with symbolic objects, you can place your three
legged toad in the southeast corner of the office /study but make sure
that it faces into the room and not outwards and the coin is always
kept in his mouth. Make sure you remove them next month.

Southwest – The qi influence in
this palace indicates excellent career opportunities and performance and
important promotion. Children should also use this area for studies as
it promotes academic achievement and is good for examinations.

If your child occupies another compass sector of the home try and locate
his/her study area in the southwest of the home or southwest of their
room and also place a crystal globe in the southwest part where they study,
you should also do this if you are in business or want to enhance your
career.

Sectors to be aware of this month:

Northwest – The positive aspects
of the visiting monthly #1 may bring obstacles in business or at work
as well as illnesses affecting the ears, kidneys and the spleen if you
do not have your annual cures in place.
Have extra patience when projects or ideas take longer to materialise
than you expect owing to the obstacles placed in our way by the annual
#5 Yellow. Children who occupy a bedroom in this palace may suffer ear
infections due to colds especially with unsettling weather that normally
follows us in the UK and USA in October. Be aware that they are more susceptible
to this influence and take extra vigilance in dressing them suitably for
the time of year.

You should have your annual enhancers in place here for the # 5 in the
northwest palace; this would be the appropriate enhancer for the visiting
1. If you have not, I would suggest placing some metal decorative objects
(nothing triangular in shape, sharp or menacing looking) in the northwest
corner of the room. For those using our monthly
cures kit
place a Wu Lou here along with six Chinese coins tied in
a row with red ribbon to weaken the #5 sickness and bad luck star.

North – This is not a nice combination
at all and although easier said than done but you should really try and
avoid this area at all costs this month. If this area of your home is
a bedroom, front door or office and you use our monthly
cures kit
place your Wu Lou here along with six Chinese coins tied
in a row with red ribbon to weaken the monthly #5 sickness and bad luck
star. If the north in your home is a bathroom, en-suite, utility room
or other unimportant room do not worry and you do not need to place cures,
it is only a problem when a bedroom, office lounge or any other important
room fall into this area that it becomes a problem.

Avoidance is the best cure for this combination of qi. If you cannot avoid
using this room, make sure that metal cures are in place like a Wu
Lou and/or six Chinese coins tied in a row with red ribbon.
Use metal
such as gold, copper or brass. You can use whatever metal objects you
have got handy in your house, but do avoid objects that are sharp or menacing
looking. Do not place any red, pink or orange colours in this area or
anything triangular or square in shape and do not burn candles
in the north. If you are living in a country where the weather is still
hot please be very careful where placing your fan, avoid placing in the
north, northeast and west this month, as it will activate these inauspicious
areas.

Northeast – Those with main
or back doors in this palace must take extra security measures as burglary
or robbery is indicated. If your bedroom or office is located in this
sector, be careful of what you are signing, especially with contracts,
as the influence in this palace carries with it possible law suits.

If the northeast part of your home or office is a bathroom, cloakroom,
utility or other similar less important room you do not need to do anything
and do not read further, if the northeast is a main door, bedroom, lounge
or any other important room you need to take care. For my home as an example
the northeast is where my main door is located and I will not be using
it much this month, obviously we cannot control it completely as people
like the postman will still be knocking and people will be calling at
this part of the home, we will just use it less, AVOIDANCE IS THE BEST
CURE. You can place a piece of red cloth here for the month to try and
calm things, you can introduce this colour with doormats, rugs, bed covers
etc, remember the negative part is just a passing influence so do not
start repainting the room red as next month you will not want this colour.

West – If your bedroom is located
in this sector of the house, do not be surprised if you find yourself
feeling a little under the weather this month. The visiting of the monthly
#2 Black brings with it illnesses affecting the occupants of the bedroom.
You can place a small metal (golden) wu-lou by the bedside table to dissipate
some of the malevolent influences of earth element 2 Black.

Please be very careful with noisy renovations, banging, drilling and hammering
in this part of the house this month. It is strongly advised to leave
any noisy work/renovations in the west for next month. Those who are recovering
from health problems, try to stay away from this area.

If you cannot avoid this room, place a decorative item of metal, copper
or bronze in the west corner of the room to pacify the monthly #2 influence.
If you use our monthly cures kit
place the Wu Lou here along with the six Chinese coins tied in a row with
red ribbon. If the west is a bedroom and you are not in good health, I
would place a wu lou or similar object beside your bed this month, an
alternative to a wu lou is something that is heavy and preferably round
and made of a good quality metal like brass or copper.

East – If your kitchen is in
this sector of the property, take extra care when preparing hot food or
handling hot equipment. Possible fire hazards are possible in this sector
of the house. If you spend a considerable amount of time in the kitchen,
you must be aware of the possibility of being burnt or scalded. Cook or
work with care and do not rush. Accidents usually happen when we are in
a hurry or not paying due attention to what we are doing.

Be very attentive in not leaving lit candles unattended in this area of
the house. Keep matches and lighters out of reach of curious little hands.
The month’s influence may spark their curiosity out of the blue.

  • Beware of possible fire hazards. Do not leave lit candles unattended
if your living room is here.
  • Double check that the stove in the kitchen is turned off before leaving
the house. Take extra care too when handling hot plates, etc…

I hope you find this October update useful in keeping you informed of
which sectors are potentially influenced by positive or negative qi. Please
remember this is only the monthly good or bad influence, you can enhance
and cure even more by following our annual advice, follow

What if you cannot move rooms?

If you are
unable to move to another room for the month, make sure your bed or work/study
tables are in a more beneficial area for the month.

Example:
If you or your child are in a bedroom in a bad area of the home this month,
get your compass and stand in the centre of your room and place the bed
or desk in a more auspicious area for the month as mentioned above.

As you can
see from above, you can turn a bad situation into a better one. You will
not only avoid all problems but the child will benefit from being in a
good area. You must try and keep the bad area quiet so it is not a good
idea to have a music centre in the bad area. Remember that you can apply
this to any room in your home so, if your office is in an afflicted sector;
place your desk in an auspicious sector of the room this month

I know it
is easier said than done but moving out of a room that has temporary inauspicious
qi is worth it. This is so especially with health issues provided you
can afford the space and rooms. If you cannot, do not fret. The effect
can be minimised by relocating the bed or study/work/office table to an
auspicious sector (follow example above) of the room or placing cures
as recommended on this site. As I have said before, this is a monthly
influence and so it will pass.
