Which front door has the best Feng Shui?
I posted a question on our Facebook page at the beginning of the week asking which front door was best from a Feng Shui perspective, and after such a fantastic response, I’ve decided to post the original photo and my response, as this got a really good conversation going on our Facebook page.

Your front door is known as the Mouth of Qi, the place where fresh energy enters your home. Before thinking about compass directions or technical Feng Shui, first impressions matter. Looking only at the image, which entrance feels the most welcoming and inviting to you?
A, B, C or D?
Don’t overthink it! Trust your instincts and let me know your choice in the comments. For this challenge, the facing direction is completely irrelevant; we are simply looking at which entrance appears to welcome the best Qi.
Here is my response to the Facebook post on the best door
To follow up on my post from the other day with four different Front doors, there isn’t really a right and wrong answer to this question – Everyone seemed to have a different opinion on the best door and while a lot of you were following Feng Shui principles, we also need to consider how each door made us feel as an individual person.
Try to imagine this like artwork; if you were visiting a friend’s home and they were showing off a new piece of art on their room that they fell in love with. You may have a very different view on the art than your friend, and having this piece of art in your home would carry a completely different energy than it would in your friend’s home.
Of course, there are many other factors to consider when looking at how energy flows towards and into a home such as the compass facing direction, land formations, road leading up to it, neighbouring properties, what is opposite the home, poison arrows etc. although when you are basing this on the actual entrance, these all work perfectly well. All four doors have slight (and I mean very slight) issues by the entrance, although they are all fantastic entrance ways that will all likely invite fresh qi into the home.
Glass panels vs solid doors – Traditionally, a solid front door would be the best choice for a home with regard to Feng Shui, although with newer materials for security and efficiency, I would prioritise a glass panelled door as this helps attract light Qi into the home.
Pop out to your front door today or when you are next home and have a look around the immediate door area to see how the space makes you feel.
– If you have any dying plants or messy plant pots, try to freshen them up.
– If the door is covered in dust after a long dry spell, give the door a wash down.
– If the door furniture is looking worn out or creaking, replace, paint or service it.
– If you have too many plant pots blocking the flow, try to relocate them around the home.
– If there are dead leaves, cobwebs or mud around the entrance, sweep them up.
– If the glass is dirty and blocking light, give it a clean.
– If you have a Ba Gua mirror hanging above the door that is looking worn out, replace it.
There are many quick fixes you can do to quickly and easily attract Ming Tang energy into your home to brighten the energy.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to comment on this. I’ll be sure to keep adding these and follow up with an answer post, as this proved very popular!
