Below are the most recent shipping updates; if there hasn’t been an update for a while, there should be no disruptions to normal post.

Covid-19 update – Thursday 16th April 2020. Please note that deliveries are currently taking longer than usual and some delays are to be expected due to restrictions on movement to minimise the spread of the Coronavirus. We are still shipping orders as usual although it would be wise to check that your country is still receiving and delivering post.

Updated 22nd December 2014

Christmas 2014 Update – Unfortunately, we have now past the guaranteed delivery date for guaranteed Christmas delivery. Although we will still be posting out all orders as normal with First Class Royal Mail, we cannot guarantee delivery in time for Christmas.

Chinese New Year 2015 Update – Please note that between January and February, all orders will take approximately 3-5 working days to process as this is our busiest time of year. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

The postal service from the UK to the rest of the world is running as normal with no delays in post but please bare in mind that there will be delays during the run-up to Christmas.

 Updated 18th November 2011

Fortunately, postal services to USA/Canada and the rest of the world are back to normal now although high security measures are still in place for obvious reasons. We estimate between 5-10 days for delivery to the rest of the world although orders withing the UK and EU are within a few days. During the lead up to Chinese New year, November is a very busy time and orders normally take between 3 and 5 working days to process although it is often much quicker than this.

Updated 25th January 2011

As i am sure you are aware there are delays with post to the USA, Canada and Australasia at the moment, due to new US security measures introduced by United States Department of Homeland Security for small packages and they have been taking longer to deliver.

This was bought about with a failed parcel bomb via Dubai a few weeks ago. Also the recent severe weather conditions have also caused many delays and we are paying extra at our own expense to ensure your order is sent to you within the shortest time possible.

I have copied below some details from the Royal Mail website to give you an idea and would hope you will receive your order very soon.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding and our sincere apologies for the delay but we hope you will understand that these are circumstances out of our control.

Kind regards.

Update – 24th January:

With effect from 24 January 2011, postal operations have returned to normal in New York and the north-eastern part of the United States, as well as in the surrounding areas. We are awaiting information on the rest of the country

The below are copies taken from the Royal Mail website with updates to USA, Canada and Australasia.

North America (USA & Canada)
Start date: 18th November
End date: Ongoing

Increased security measures delays some mail to USA

Since November 2010, the United States Department of Homeland Security has increased security measures for items carried on passenger airlines. As a result, mail entering the US from around the world, and including the UK, that would normally be sent via passenger aircraft must now travel by other means, including ships and cargo planes.

Most items, including personal letters and cards, will arrive in the US within a few days of posting. The vast majority of Christmas cards and gifts posted prior to the last recommended posting date of 10th December will have arrived in the US in time for Christmas. However, these ongoing security issues, combined with the impact of recent severe weather on the movement of mail throughout the UK, are continuing to cause delays to some items bound for the US. The delays mainly affect heavier items, but also affect other items including Destination Sort bags posted under contract by business customers. We’re really sorry for these unavoidable delays and are doing everything we can to keep mail moving out of and into the UK.

We have implemented a number of contingency plans to ensure as much of our customers’ mail reaches the US as quickly as possible. Handling significantly increased volumes of mail at this festive time along with the complexity of reacting at pace to contingency arrangements, means we’re unable to track individual items for customers or identify exactly when in the current arrival patterns deliveries are likely to take place.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and are continuing to work to minimise disruption to our customers, whilst ensuring we comply fully with the US directives and regulations.
USA – North America
Start date: 27th December
End date: 31st December

The situation of force majeure caused by heavy snowstorms and blizzard conditions in the north-eastern region of the United States of America has now returned to normal.

All mail operations are now proceeding normally.
Aviation Security Update – Ink or toner cartridges

Following recent incidents with improvised explosive devices, the Secretary of State for Transport has issued directions prohibiting the carriage by air of ink or toner cartridges, with immediate effect. For the avoidance of doubt the definition of ink or toner cartridges are defined as “a cartridge weighing more than 500g designed for the use in printing equipment such as printers, photocopiers and fax machines”.

In order to comply with this direction fully, Royal Mail is unable to fly any ink or toner cartridges over 500g through our UK or international network until further notice. As a result, we will transfer them to alternative road and/or sea routes. This will delay the delivery of affected items, as per the delivery times for international surface mail.

We’re very sorry for the inconvenience caused by these restrictions.
Start date: 1st January 2011

End date:

Severe flooding has impacted the state of Queensland where natural disaster areas have been declared in most areas of the state. Evacuations of townships continue and a number of roads and highways have been cut-off due to the weather impacting deliveries and pick-ups in these areas.

A Force Majeure has been declared for the state of Queensland.

Delivery offices affected:

  1. Postcodes 4000-4999
  2. All delivery offices in Queensland are affected by the current flooding situation

If I place an order how long will it take here in Honolulu, Hawaii? Are we having an issue especially it’s a Pandemic.

    Thank you.

    1. Hi Jocelyn,

Delivery to Hawaii can usually take around 5-10 working days although it may take a little longer at the moment.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
