With Chinese New Year 2015, year of the Yin Wood Goat/Sheep fast approaching, there is always a great deal to get done and after Christmas and New Year is over, we soon make a start on the preparations for Chinese New Year by making a start on deep cleaning our home and office to encourage fresh Qi to enter the home and office and speaking from personal experience, if you leave it too late, problems can arise.
Back in 2012, Chinese New Year took place on January 23rd 2012 and with this being so close after the festive period, I found myself struggling to keep on top of all the tasks which meant that I had to actually hire a cleaner to help with all of the cleaning around my home; I should state that my home is not actually messy, I just like to make sure that every single area of my home and office are clean and free of clutter as much as possible and with my busy work schedule in January, I was unable to get as much done as I liked around the house. Back to the story… I hired a cleaner for the day who I left a list of things to do and when I got home, everything looked perfect and I felt a big weight had been lifted off my shoulders although I still felt that the energy in my home felt stagnant and not the usual feeling that I would get after a deep clean until a few days later when I dropped my phone down by the radiator and when I went to pick it up, I found a huge mass of dust down by the bottom of the radiator; needless to say, I didn’t ask the cleaner for repeat business.
After my fiasco with the cleaner, I decided to spend the weekend going all around the house and clean absolutely everywhere which ran late in to the night. After ticking the list chore off my list (clean under the stairs where I keep the hoover), I slumped in my sofa and enjoyed a big glass of wine with my feet up. Although it was a great idea to get a cleaner in and do the chores, I felt a great sense of satisfaction when I did the cleaning myself and knew in my head that everything had been done to my satisfaction.
When preparing for Chinese New Year, it is always best to start early with cleaning and preparing your Cures for the year ahead. In 2015, we will need to place specialist Cures in order to make the most of what the year of the Goat has to offer and I have already got mine packed away safely in my home ready to be placed on the 4th February and have made a list of what I need to put where and where my existing Cures need to be moved for 2015.
If I could give one overall bit of advice for Chinese New Year 2015, it would be that you prepare for the year ahead early on and make sure that you have your Cures and Enhancers ready to place for the 4th February 2015. If you are unable to place the Cures on the 4th, do not worry too much as you can place them all year round although it is best to do as early as possible.

Hi, Daniel, Ive just received my deluxe 2015 kit which I am very happy with, this is the5th year of me buying your kits, my question is when it says put a cure in the west, the west of my house is the conservetry, should I place it there or in the west of the house i.e the original west before conservetry was added, this would be the kitchen or my daughters bedroom, if I were to put it in the kitchen it could get knocked over, in my daughters bedroom it would be fine, so would it be better for everyone in the house for it to be in a bedroom or in the conservetrY.THKS Collette
Hi Collette,
Yes, when you got the conservatory built, that became part of your home, so you would count that in your floor plan.
Kind regards,
Daniel
