You would be amazed at the number of consultations that we have been to and found the occupants have either been told by a practitioner or read a book advising to place a Ba Gua (Pa Kua) (pronounced ‘bah-gwa’) mirror inside their home to make their bathroom disappear or some similar nonsense, what a load of codswallop. I cannot stress this enough, NEVER use a Ba Gua inside a home or office.

I don’t care who has told you and how they have justified it. You must never ever use them indoors. There are circumstances that you can use them, they are special ones that you should not find on any website, we sell them, but only to trained Feng Shui Masters and Practitioners.

The ones that we sell to the public are “before heaven” Ba Gua (see below) these can only be used outdoors, they show the Trigram with three unbroken lines at the top and they come with a hook so you cannot go wrong in placement. Be careful when buying as we have seen the arrangement completely wrong and this can be very dangerous.

We also only sell wooden with a thin transfer on the facing side as they will show signs of wear which is an indication that the negative energy they have absorbed has weakened them and an indication that they need to be replaced although plastic and metal ones will not do this as they will cause more harm than good in the long run so always use wooden Ba Gua’s and avoid plastic and metal or similar material.

The one you use inside a building are after-heaven Ba Gua, the arrangement of the Trigrams are completely different and can only be used by a trained Feng Shui practitioner.

Before Heaven Ba Gua Mirror to be used outside only.

When should I use a Ba Gua(Pa Kua) mirror?

As I said if you already have one make sure the three solid lines are at the top. They are used to ward off sharp or pointing objects such as traffic, lampposts, objects pointing towards your home, roadway pointing at your home, corners of other houses pointing at you or anything that you feel is threatening.

Generally, they are placed above or close to your front door or facing the side of your home they can be hidden behind an object if you do not fancy explaining to neighbours or friends what it is. You should not have more than two; the front and back are normal. They are used to deflect negative energy (Sha Chi)

The Ba Gua is extremely powerful and should be used with care and also respect for others, as when you hang one they deflect the bad energy onto the offending object. I have read books and websites that sell these recommending that they place them to deflect bad energy towards a bad neighbour, remember when you do this you make their situation twice as bad and trust me Karma works in mysterious ways.

Michael recently carried out a consultation for a Chinese restaurant in Kent and the Ba Gua across the road from one of their Chinese competitors was about 5 feet in size, now that is big, the average size is 4-6 inches. In Asia there are many tactics used to compete with other businesses, these can be a Ba Gua mirror with pointing arrows on it or a cannon, this will give very bad energy to the company it is pointing at.

Examples of negative energy (sha chi) that you may use a ba gua mirror:

  • A large building or corners of a building especially if they are a negative building such as a prison, hospital, police station, military base, animal research centre, government building or similar.
  • Electric power pylons
  • A T-junction where the road points towards the home or office.
  • Very large trees that are too close to a building
  • A telegraph pole or any sort of tower.
  • Slaughterhouses and meat processing factories
  • Unsightly structures or landscapes in front of your home or business.
  • An electrical station or sub-station opposite your home or business.
  • A graveyard, cemetery, mortuary or undertakers opposite your home or office.
  • Generally, schools are ok although some upper schools with a bad reputation (mixed hormones) can give a lot of negative sha qi and I would place a flat ba gua mirror pointing towards the school although if they cause you no problems at all I would not use one.

Red, green and gold Ba Gua mirrors

The flat ba gua mirrors we sell will always have the colours red, green and gold and In Feng Shui, each colour is representative of different energies;

  • Red – Represents the summer, illumination and growth.
  • Gold – Represents late summer, growth, productivity and success.
  • Green – Represents spring, inspiration and strength.

Concave ba gua Mirrors

The concave ba gua mirror (bowed inwardly) is used to neutralise and absorb negative energies passively rather than reflecting the energies back, as is the case with flat mirrors (neutral) or more aggressively convex mirrors. A concave and flat ba gua is an effective and more humane way to disperse harmful energies sha qi without harming those around us. The concave mirror is also used to bring in positive energy from maybe a junior school or any other positive energy building or landscape, either way, you should really seek advice from a Feng Shui Master or consultant.

Convex Ba gua Mirrors

These are more effective for extremely harmful cha qi like prisons, hospitals and graveyards and you should not use these for normal house neighbours as it can make their situation much worse. Convex (bowed outwards) ba gua mirrors are best used with the supervision of a good Feng Shui master and it is very rare that Michael Hanna would use one of these as it in his words “it is like cracking a walnut with a sledgehammer”

Ba Gua mirrors are one of the most popular Feng Shui symbols of protection and are often referred to as the antibiotic of Feng Shui. In some Feng Shui schools, it may also be referred to as a Pa Kua mirror and they are one of the most effective all-round cures that can be used to protect your home.

FlatBa gua Mirrors

These are by far the safest to use and are a very effective Feng Shui cure normally placed above your door looking onto the offending object although they can be placed in any part of the building. If you are not sure which type of mirror to use it is much safer to use the flat type.

As with all our products they are cleansed from negative energy and empowered with positive energy, this is especially important with a Ba Gua mirror.

  1. Our house is rectangular in shape and we only have one entrance/exit. Our door is at South direction so when I enter, I am now facing North. We have 2 Windows at the back and it is somewhat in a T-Junction where the street points towards the back of our house.

I plan to put a Ba Gua (Flat Mirror) on top of our back window but I am confused if I need to put 2 Ba Gua Mirrors in each window. If you suggest to put 1 mirror then where should I place it? Thank you!

    1. Hi Jay,

I would recommend placing a Ba Gua mirror above your front door on the outside towards the T junction. You would only need to place one salt cure and can place this wherever works best for you to face the junction.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

      1. I actually do not have a door at the back and only have 2 windows in a T-Junction. You mean to say that I would only need to place a Ba Gua mirror on top of one of the mirrors? or should I put one for each mirrors? Thank you.

        1. Hi Jay,

I would recommend placing a single Ba Gua mirror above one of your windows on the outside. It will work best if you place the mirror above the window for the more commonly used room.

          I hope this helps.

          Kind regards,
          Daniel

      1. Hi Bernie,

As long as this is outside of your home and the mirror is facing away, this will be ok to place it here.

        I hope this helps.

        Kind regards,
        Daniel

  2. My front door faces west and I have a negative next door neighbor to my south. We had disposed of a large tree branch for her (10 feet long) when we moved in back in October 2021 and again few weeks later when another branch fell. We knew she works late and didn’t want to bother her so we wanted to do the neighborly thing and dispose of it for her. She came out yelling cause she was woken up by her small dogs. I explained we where trying to be nice and help her out cause her green waste trash can not handle another 10 foot branch that fell when it was windy and raining. She apologized later on for being rude and understood we where not just trampling her front yard. That we where trying to carry it out of her yard to my work van. Ever since then we just haven’t gotten a good vibe from her esp after she yelled at my sons with one who is special needs trying to help her out. Also neighbor across the street adjacent from my house has an ex occupant who likes to cause trouble every now and then. So I have both cocave and convex mirror that I bought where should I place it. I love my neighbor who is directly north of me he loves the heck out of my dogs! I just want place the mirrors in the right spot.

    1. Hi Cora,

I would recommend placing a concave Ba Gua mirror facing towards your neighbour’s house as this type of mirror will absorb and neutralise negative energy rather than bounce it back.

I hope this helps and hope things improve soon.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  3. Hi

My next neighbor has a dollhanging from the tree on its neck and its literally facing my house side. So every time you look out of the door and window from my house your eyes just go on that doll. I find it creepy and out of order as the doll is hung on that tree in the garden to its next. We can see the back of the doll from our house. I do not really know what its for but I just do not want anything bad coming in my house or near my home. I have a concave ba gua at the top of my front door. Can you give some advice please

    1. Hi Alice,

I would recommend hanging a concave Ba Gua mirror towards the doll or neighbours home as you have already done as this will help neutralise the energy coming form their home. A pair of Fu Dogs at your door or window facing towards the home should also work well.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  4. Hi! I’m moving into a studio apartment and there is a BaGua mirror over the front door. On the inside of the apartment. What should I do?

    1. Hi Madeline,

I would recommend removing the Ba Gua mirror when you move in and dispose of it carefully in a bin outside of the apartment.

I hope this helps and hope the move goes well.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  5. Hi, dear Daniel ! My name is Anna and I am writing to you from Italy. I need some help, my situation is not good at all in my house, because unfortunately my brother is a very strange, violent and hates me and all women.. I sleep in the same room with him, because our apartment is little, but I cannot sleep and do anything, nor talking at all.. He is 41 and always attacks us, we live with fear. You say that it is not recommended to put a Ba Gua mirror inside our home and so I would like to to ask you if there is any item that could help me and my parents to protect us from inner. I hope very much you have understood my English and wish to receive any suggestion ! Please I am very sad and feared, I wish you all my Love, bye !!

    1. Hi Anna,

I’m so sorry to hear that you’re going through problems with your brother and hope that things improve for you soon.

I would recommend taking a look at the two links below as there is a lot of advice on how to use items already around your home to help minimise and neutralise disputes and conflicts with others.

  6. Wow this is very informative. Thank you. My situation: living an apartment building in NYC. My door is 5 feet away from my neighbor, is also right across from their door. They play loud music, and we tried to let them know the bass resonates in our place pretty loud. I even placed a small plant by my door, but it’s wilting. I wanted to get along with my neighbors, but I guess that’s not always possible. Is there anything I can do? (unfortunately moving is not an option right now).

    1. Hi Pachin,

I would recommend placing a pair of Fu Dogs or a Dragon at your front door as this will help with protection for your apartment.

I hope this helps and hope things resolve themselves with your neighbour.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  7. Hi,
My front door opens straight to the stairs going to the second floor. Is it ok to place a flat Bagua mirror on the back of the door facing the stairs?

    1. Hi Flor,

I would not recommend placing a Ba gua mirror inside your home as this will trap the energy and cause it to stagnate. If you are able to, I would avoid keeping the front door open for too long and tryto keep windows open around the home as this will help Qi enter from other areas of the home.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  8. Hi this blog looks absolutely great! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your knowledge. My situation is I live in a trailer type home and both sides of the home are about 3 feet away from the next trailer; one trailer in particular to the south is an Airbnb and it’s always questionable who shows up to stay in that trailer. Often they are people who are loud and drinking in the backyard and the backyard to that airbnb trailer is about 6 feet away, on a diagonal, from my bedroom window. Is there a simple cure to put on our outside of the wall facing that trailer? Thank you!

    1. Hi Lucy,

Thank you for your lovely words 🙂

I would recommend placing a Ba Gua wealth protection mirror facing towards your trailer as this will block any negative Qi from visiting guests coming into your home.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

      1. Hi Daniel thank you so much for getting back to me I appreciate it. I don’t know where to find that particular mirror maybe you have it on your site for sale? Also, I am not clear about how to make it face my trailer. Okay to hang it on my trailer—mirror side facing inward on my trailer and the backside of the mirror would face the other trailer—is that OK? Since it’s not possible to put it on the other trailer as it is someone else’s property.

          1. Yes thank you! I thought that might be a misprint cool thank you so much! I am going to purchase one from your store…

          2. Hi Daniel,

I feel compelled to let you know the results (so far) of placing the mirror outside and directly above my bedroom window. Since placing the mirror (April), there has been only about three visitors to the airbnb trailer next door. When before, the airbnb was occupied almost every day. I am so very Grateful for this cure and your generous help. Thanks!

            Lucy

          3. Hi Lucy,

I’m so glad to hear the mirror is working well for you and thank you for updating me 🙂

            Kind regards,
            Daniel

      2. Hi,
My son lives in a block of units and the unit above him has an outdoor staircase that is 1 meter away from my sons front door. The staircase diagonally crosses his front door and window. Should he put a bagua above front door? His front door is in the North sector. Thank-you

        1. Hi Kylie,

Your son would be better off placing a Pair of Fu Dogs on the inside of his front door, looking outwards for protection of his home as 1 meter away is a bit too close and the stairs will likey be quite large.

          I hope this helps.

          Kind regards,
          Daniel

      3. hi im sorry to ask here, but i dont see where to post, and i hope you get tbis message. i have a convex mirror set up across from negative situations. my car is somewhat close to it. will it be ok?? and thank you thank you thank you🙏🙏🙏

        1. Hi Shivani,

That’s no problem at all 🙂

As long as the mirror is positioned higher than the car, this would not cause any issues.

          I hope this helps.

          Kind regards,
          Daniel

  9. Hello,
I have a sharp concrete wall corner pointing towards the west corner of my house. It is hard to tell whether it is pointing to the southwest wall (where front door is located) or the northwest wall. Further my neighbour hoards and the window on our northwest wall faces their piles of things. Would I hang a mirror on both the southwest and the northwest wall? And should I use flat or concave mirrors? I really like my neighbours and don’t want to reflect bad energy to them.

    1. Hi Helen,

I would recommend using a concave mirror as this is the safest mirror to use if you don’t want to deflect negative energy back.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  10. Hello! Good day to you!
My front door is facing the north and it is directly facing the firewall of my neighbor’s house. My kua number is 5 and it says that North is my worst direction and I should not place my main door to this direction. Tje problem is I don’t have other options to place my main door, only at tje North. May I know what type of bagua to use, please?

    Thank you.

    1. Hi Mark,

If you have a wall directly opposite your front door, a Ba Gua mirror wouldn’t be the best option as this will cause stagnant energy having a mirror in place. The best option for the north of your home this year is to place a salt water cure and 6 Chinese I-Ching coins tied in a row here to weaken the annual #2 star.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  11. We’re moving into our new home in a fee weeks, which faces a t-junction street. Is it ok to put the bagua mirror (I got a concave one to make sure it doesn’t have my neighbor across) on the door since there is not enough space between the top of the door and the roof? There is a big window on the right hand side of our front door that has the space. Is it OK to put the mirror there instead? Please advise. Thank you!

  12. Hi Daniel!
I purchased my home brand new home about 2 years ago, my situation is that my front door leads to the back door which I know is bad, I have dark grey curtains hanging on my back sliding door which I never open because of this but I also have another regular door which I use all the time to go into the backyard which is not aligned with the front door. What can I do to bring in more good energy flowing throughout the house without it leaving the back sliding doors because I would love to open my curtains once in a while to let in light without worrying all my good chi leaving the home. Fish tank placement? Plants? My house faces east if you need to know. Thank you! Much appreciated! Be safe

    1. Hi Joann,

I would recommend introducing furniture and plants to slow the flow of Qi around the home. That will be fine to leave the curtains open at the rear as long as you place some decorations around to slow the flow of qi.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  13. Hi there,

I was wondering if you have any recommendations for placing a decorative mirror in the northeast section of the home? Part of this area is a dark corner of a small hallway and I would like to bring some light into this area, as there are two bedrooms nearby with great light that shine into this area.

    Thank you so much!

    1. Hi Jacqueline,

That will be fine to place a normal mirror in the northeast and will work well to light up the home and create good Qi.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  14. Hello

I bought a convex ba gua and the mirror is bent. Can I still use this? You see my front door faces a backlane across the street. I also have 2 shrubs in front of the walkway (to block negative energy). The back of our front door are stairs going down the basement. I just wanted some good chi going in the house. Am I doing it right with the convex ba gua?

    1. Hi Libby,

The convex mirror should bend inwards similar to a bowl. If the backlane has a lot of traffic, that will be fine to use.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

      1. Hi

Sorry I got confused the ba gua mirror is bent outwards. I guess that its a concave one. It came damaged when I received it. There’s a small dent(damage) close to the center of the mirror. Is that ok to use?

        1. Sorry, I meant to say that the convex mirror should bend outwards, not inwards.

If the mirror arrived damaged, I would not recommend using it.

          I hope this helps.

          Kind regards,
          Daniel

          1. Hi Daniel.

I hope you can help me with this. I live in an apartment building and my door is at the end of a long hallway.

Can I place a bagua mirror above my apartment door? If not, should I place something inside
            my entrance hallway?

            Thank you,
            Lili

          2. Hi Brent,

I would not recommend placing a Ba Gua mirror inside of a building as this will trap negative energy.

The best option is to place a pair of Fu Dogs by your front door for protection of your home.

            I hope this helps.

            Kind regards,
            Daniel

  15. My house is west facing and main door is North facing. which one shall i place Concave or convex ba gua Mirrors? And what is the placement of the mirror?

    1. Hi Mukund,

If you could let me know what is opposite your front door, I will be able to better advise which Ba Gua mirror would be the best to use.

      Thank you.

      Kins regards,
      Daniel

      1. Hello Daniel, Can you please answer this request?

I have a shoe rack and then followed by wall in front of the main door.

And as i said my door is north facing and house is west facing. On the left side of the main door there is stair case with leads to ground floor.

Mine is independent / individual house with tenant residing on the ground floor. Please advise where to place the Ba Gua mirror and do i also place anything else to have a peaceful file by chasing off evil eyes.

        1. Hi Mukund,

I would recommend removing the shoe rack or purchase an enclosed unit as dirty shoes near the front door can block fresh energy entering the home.

I would place the Ba Gua mirror outside on the north of your home, facing away from the home.

          I hope this helps.

          Kind regards,
          Daniel

          1. Thanks for the response Daniel, The shoe rack is an enclosed unit and no foot wear is visible.

Since my main door is north facing.. did you meant to hung the mirror above the main door or on the opposite wall which is facing main door? or towards west which is facing the road?

            Thanks for the help

          2. Hi Mukund,

I would place the mirror on the wall towards the west that is facing the road.

            I hope this helps.

            Kind regards,
            Daniel

  16. Hello, your website is very helpful. I was wondering if you could help me. My front door facing west and garage door too, is it ok to put convex Bagua mirror between garage door and main door wall so I don’t have to hang it on each door? Also, would convex have neighbors?Thank you

    1. Hi Darlene,

I would recommend hanging just one mirror over your front door although you can place it between the front door and garage door if you prefer.

I would not recommend using a convex mirror if you have neighbours opposite as this will deflect the negative Qi towards their home. The safest option is to use a Ba Gua wealth protection mirror or a concave mirror.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  17. Hi there,
Thank you for this info! I have been reading up on mirrors and seeing much contradictory advice. I have a serious problem and feel this could be my solution if done correctly. My next door neighbors are
active drug sellers and we have had many other problems with them over the years, including physical threats of harm. We can’t afford to move and they refuse to leave. I was told to put a convex mirror above my door that faces their house, but then read that that could create more problems. All I want is for them to move and to get lovely new neighbors, I don’t want to amplify the ill feelings already there. What do you think we should do?
    Thanks!

    1. Hi Hollye,

Sorry to hear that you’re having problems with your neighbours.

The best thing I can recommend is to place a concave Ba Gua mirror outside your home, pointing towards the problematic neighbours to absorb and dissipate the negative energy coming from them.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  18. Hi Daniel and Michael Hanna,
First of all, i was so happy that i discover your website.
I think you guys are the one that can help us with our problems
regarding the apartment we live in..
The apartment we live in has a ground, 1st , 2nd and 3rd floor.
And we only have one entrance door,
My husband and I live in ground floor.
    Our problem are :
    1) Entrance door of our apartment is facing a floor and after the floor is the 5 stairs,
2.) And after the 5 stairs is a floor leading to my front door..
The entrance door, stairs and our front door are aline to each other..
We are having health issues and financial problems.
3.) When i openned our front door, after 12 steps is a big window which i always keep close.
We have neighbors to the left and right side of our apartment
and when i am sitting in our sofa in the living room i can see the stairs upward and the stairs downward..
4.) All our nrighbors who live in 1st,2nd and 3rd floor passes my front door and going in and out of our entrnce door..
Please help us what is the cure.for this situation.
I am willing to do or buy anything that can help us.
    Best regards,
    Maria Wrisberg

    1. Hi Maria,

It sounds as though you can’t do much about the traffic coming past your door although this does not mean that it will definitely be causing you problems.

I would recommend placing a pair of Fu Dogs either on the outside of your door or inside looking out for protection of your apartment.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  19. Hi,

My bedroom is in the South East and I have read that I should put a bagua mirror up outside.
Question 1- do I put a concave bagua mirror on the South East part of my house? Note: My bed would be close to the mirror.
Or…..do i put the Concave Bagua Morror outside above my bedroom window on the East/south side of my house?
I have 2 windows in my bedroom. One is the South of the house and the other is on the East/ South part of my home.
    Question 2
Is there any other cure other than the Bagua mirror for 2020 cure in South East?

    Thankyou
    Donna

    1. Hi Donna,

You should not place the mirror inside your home so as long as this is outside, this would not be a problem.

For very negative energy coming towards your home, you can place a pair of Fu Dogs, A Dragon, or a cannon although the cannot would only be used for something such as a cemetery.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  20. Hi Daniel,

The entry door of my house is facing the Six Killing Direction of my Kua number. This is not a rental, I own the house.
The front door faces a narrow street with low foot traffic.
Should I put Bagua Mirror on the front door? Which type?

    Sincerely,

    1. Hi Amber,

I would place a Ba Gua wealth protection mirror as this is generally the safest kind to use.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  21. Hi Daniel, hope you’re well. This article is very informative and I enjoyed reading it. I have a couple of questions.
    – I live next to a subway train line – about 50 metres from my apartment building. In the back of my apartment unit, the balcony faces the train tracks and there’s constant train noise. Can I place a bagua mirror on the balcony facing the tracks? If yes, what kind and where can I get it from?

    – Secondly, to the left of the front door of my unit, there’s a staircase door for the building stairs. I can’t place anything outside my door as it’s not allowed. But anything else I can do?

    Thank you for help.
    Alex.

    1. Hi Alex,

That will be fine to place a ba gua mirror on the balcony, facing towards the track. I would place a Ba Gua wealth protection mirror as this is the safest to use. We sell these on the website; if you use the search bar, this will bring up our different mirrors.

For the doorway, I would make sure the area is clean and tidy and also make sure that your shoes are not kept near the door as this can cause a lot of negative energy; if you do keep them by the door, make sure they are out of sight.

      I hope this helps, Alex.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  22. Hello,
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to ask you a question.
    Could you help please?
I would like to block and protect myself, my husband and my 2nd floor apartment from bad negative energies from my neighbors living on the same floor on the right of my home. We have a landing with an elevator and two apartments’ front doors. One is mine and other on the right is my neighbors who moved 6 months ago. We and my neighbors are both owners of our apartment. They are very noisy and irrespectful in their manners towards us and it is causing me a lot of heartaches. I feel so unease and getting anxious. We’ve talked to them about the noise but it is leading no where. The children from these same neighbors are also quite rude with us.
We are in our 60’s and we are very quiet and there are no noise coming from us and we mind our own business.

Can I put a Sun Bagua on the top of my front door even though I have no outside light. Also if yes, can I print a Sun bagua picture? Will it work the same?
Ot what else would you suggest to keep my neighbors calm, respectful and quiet? I’m desperate for this to end.
Thank you very much for your help.
    My best regards,
    Florry

    1. Hi Florry,

I would not recommend using any mirrors inside your apartment or around the inside space as this will cause negative energy to spread around the inside of the building.

I would recommend taking a look at the annual Flying star analysis and find the compass area that the neighbours are located so that you have an idea on how to improve the area and neutralise the problem.

Another option is to use a brass Dragon pointed towards your neighbour or you could place a pair of Fu Dogs either side of your front door.

Here is the link to the 2019 Flying star analysis – https://www.fengshuiweb.co.uk/advice/flyingstars2019.htm

I hope this helps, Florry and hope than things improve in your home.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  23. Hi 🙂

The position of my front door faces South East. Directly from it is the side of my neighbors house. There is a tall palm tree and a solar light pole (both off-centered) and small statues/figures of a dragon, cow, dog, sheep, elephant. What would be the best bagua mirror to use here? I currently have a convex mirror and read from your helpful website that it is not a mirror to use without consultation.

    1. Hi Jake,

The best mirror to use would be a Ba Gua wealth protection mirror above your front door.

      I hope this helps.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel

  24. Hello!

I live in a high rise condo in the city and my bedroom window faces a funeral home, I know for this is very bad feng shui and my parents advised me to get a convex ba gua mirror. I am bothered by this enough that I do not sleep in the bedroom as to avoid bad energy. The other problem is I live on the 4th floor and so my unit also contains a 4, which is also very bad. Where would you suggest putting the mirror because I don’t think my association will let me hang anything outside my window because it may be a fall hazard for people walking below.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

  25. Hi,

I have neighbor who recently placed a (convex) bagua mirror in his master bedroom facing our bedroom; a bit offset but almost direct. Also, we can see his mirror from our main floor kitchen and our family room which has a huge glass door. Our master bedroom has single glass door with two windows on each side of it. Their master bedroom actually faces directly to our master bath which has large obscure windows.

I appreciate your comment. Since the mirror, my wife and I bumped our heads in sight of it working outside in our garden. We think it is not a friendly gesture to put such things facing our home.

Should I place bagua mirror on top of my master bathroom? as well as my large kitchen window and large family room glass doors?

    1. Hi Paul,

If you have had no problems with your neighbours, it may be that they placed it for overall protection of their home and didn’t understand what the convex mirror is used for.

I would suggest placing a Ba Gua concave mirror or wealth protection mirror outside your home facing towards the home to absorb or deflect the energy away. I would not use a convex mirror as this will create stagnant Qi outside both homes.

      Kind regards,
      Daniel
