I answered a question on Facebook earlier about placing an image and I thought I’d post the question and answer on here for you all.
Question: –
Hi Daniel. I would appreciate your valuable advice/input on placement of a new painting. Would it be appropriate for me to display this painting (sun rising over the seashore) on the northeast/east wall of the living room. The living room lies in the west sector of my apartment. I understand that paintings which depict water should be placed appropriately in the home.
I need to put something up on the east wall of the living room. Would the painting of a mountain be more apt? Why is it that if you’re using the painting of a mountain as support, it cannot contain any water element such as lakes, streams, etc.? Thanks.
Answer: –
We have the #7 Metal star in the west in 2012 which is very inauspicious and if you were to place the image there, it would enhance the negative influences for the rest of the year. This image has a strong fire element due to the colours and shape in the background which would antagonise the problem associated to the metal element in 2012.
The best area to place this image in 2012 up until 3rd February 2013 (even with the monthly 2 visiting in January) would be in the southwest as this will help weaken the negative influences of the #3 star.
In 2013, the best area to place this picture would be in the east where the #3 star will be located.
For the west in 2012, an image of still water would be fantastic with blues, black, grey or charcoal in the image rather than bright orange tones will be perfect for this area and this can be moved to the southeast as of 4th February 2013.
You are to fine to use water with images of mountains in the background or foreground as long as the water is still so an image of a lake or even a pond located by a mountain; The ones to avoid are images of waterfalls or crashing waves by a beach.
I hope this answers your question Kitaay and hope you have a fantastic Christmas and New Year and be sure to follow the information below for more information on 2013
