I started writing this page in April 2019, and it already seems like it was just the other day that I was writing the annual updates for Chinese New Year 2019; it really is scary how fast the years go by. Here i am in the middle of November 2019 and coming to the end of the year of the Pig, and I hope it has been a rewarding one for you with lots of enjoyment and success.

The 2020 Flying star analysis is a long read and can be a bit overwhelming to go through although it is well worth the read to give yourself the best possible start to the year of the Rat which changes on the 4^th of February 2020 in every home and building all around the world.

If your bedroom, office or other important room falls into an area that is afflicted with a negative star this year and you are not able to move out of this room, please do not panic as there is always something you can do to make the most of your situation.

In 2020, the south is a particularly troublesome sector as we have the annual #2 star located here along with the Three Killings and Sui Po in the same sector which can cause a lot of issues related to health, wealth, career and relationships. Those who have the main door or important room such as a bedroom, kitchen or living room will need to take great care when treating this in the year of the Rat to avoid the problems that come with this affliction. What date do the Flying stars change in 2020?

On the 4^th of February 2020, the Flying stars will change all around the world in every single home, office, business and building which will bring an enormous change to the energy when we have the annual #7 robbery star enter the centre of every building. The #7 star can bring a lot of problems this year when sat in the centre as the influence can permeate through the other eight compass sectors, and we will need some powerful Feng Shui cures to avoid burglary, deception, copyright theft, gossip and back stabbing issues in the year of the Rat.

Every year, I make predictions for the year ahead, and we forecast 2019 with 100% accuracy and based on our predictions for last year and the feedback from our clients, the majority were able to enjoy a productive and rewarding year of the Pig in 2019.

2020 begins the year as a new decade and also a new astral cycle of the twelve animals, and this  will be a year of great change and unrest especially with movements all over the world and potential up rises in the East and Middle East although the changes it can bring should be a good thing and the youth will be starting to show the power of unity and this can and should create a worldwide unity of hundreds of thousands if not millions of people coming together as a force to change. I think this will be a good thing in the end although there could be many ups and downs.

We will see again more natural disasters taking place around the world during the year of the Rat related to weather changes in 2020. Unfortunately, the annual influence can bring some problems that are out of our control although we do have the power to avoid problems in our own home and business with the help of the annual flying stars by following the Feng Shui advice on these pages.

I must admit I am not a fan of predicting doom and gloom as I am a firm believer in the power of the mind and being told something bad is going to happen can manifest itself without much effort, so now let’s look at the positive aspects of 2020.

I am sure you have read other Feng Shui websites and read their synopsis for 2020, you will find that most are  predicting a very bad year and while part of this is true, I am personally really excited about 2020 as there will be a lot of good to come out of it with the energies present this year and we also have many new and exciting annual Feng Shui cures and enhancers to place this year.

We have carried out thousands of Feng Shui consultations from every corner of the world since we first opened the Feng Shui Store back in 1999 and I have found that every single home is different with its positive and negative attributes; no two buildings will ever be the same and will always be prone to change so if you feel worried that you have a negative star in an important room this year, just remember that nothing is stagnant in Feng Shui and luck is constantly moving around to help you make the most of your circumstances and improve the quality of Qi in your home or office.

As an example, let’s take a look at a home that has a bedroom in the south and an office in the east and how the annual stars could have an impact on their lives in 2020 if not treated correctly. The problems with this configuration could be related to finances, bad luck, difficult relationships, joint issues and also sadness, especially with the middle daughter or eldest son.

However, by placing the annual cures and enhancers, you can eliminate or reduce these problems. If you are or were a smoker, and already have breathing and chest problems, then the cures and enhancers could certainly reduce exacerbating chest health problems. If you’re a smoker and wish to give up, then 2020 is the ideal time. Remember, the flying stars will dictate the problems, but there’s much you can do to lessen or eliminate the problem by following Feng Shui advice annually and monthly.

Those born in the year of the Horse could be affected by the conflicting influences of the year of the Rat as the Horse is the conflict animal of the Rat. Those born in the year of the Horse should be aware of potential difficulties they may encounter during the year and take extra care in whatever they do without taking unnecessary risks in all aspects of their life.

If you follow the advice here, you can avoid many problems; please do not worry. It should be noted that there are five different types of each Chinese Animal (fire, water, wood, earth, metal) which depends on the year you were born and each different animal will have different predictions for the year ahead.

With regards to the arrangement of the Xuan Kong Flying Stars in 2020, we will have the #8 white, prosperous star fly in to the northwest on the 4th of February 2020; the #8 star is the governing wealth star for period 8 (2004 – 2024) and can create a lovely influence when activated correctly as this will help resonate the auspicious energy throughout the rest of the building. In 2020 the #8 star is in conflict the NW Trigram Chien which is a strong metal star, and this will weaken the #8 earth star and the most powerful cure, and enhancer you can place in the northwest of your home, office or shop is the Lian Cai Zhong Master Cure along with the Pan Long Dragon as these two cures work in synergy with each other to help create bountiful wealth luck and new opportunities in 2020.

I mentioned the #2 black and #5 yellow star very briefly above and will go into a little more detail about them now as these are important stars to treat as they can bring lots of problems if left alone without cures and enhancers.

Where is the #2 star located in my home and office in 2020?

As of the 4^th of February 2020, the #2 annual star can be found in the south of every home, office, and building around the world and when activated can bring illness to anyone in the building. The south can be very dangerous in 2020 as we also have the Three Killings and Sui Po in the south which can cause a lot of problems if activated by the wrong elements or noise this year.

The traditional way to cure the #2 star and stop it from becoming activated is to place a row of six metal I-Ching coins in a row in the south from the 4^th of February 2020 until the 3^rd of February 2021; when choosing your coins, please make sure you get them from a reputable store as they must be from a good dynasty if they are to weaken the negative influence of the south this year. It is also important to place a salt water cure in the south of your home or office to weaken the influence of this sector and also avoid the annual #2 star from being activated.

A crucial cure and enhancer for the south is to place a JuanKuan Wealth offering plate to ensure finances are protected and also enhanced during the year of the Rat. When activating a JuanKuan plate, you should place coins of your local currency and any jewellery on the plate to invite new wealth and turn a bad star into something that can bring a positive influence into your home or office.

Where is the #5 star located in my home and office in 2020?

As of the 4^th of February 2020, the annual #5 yellow can be found in the east of your home and office. The annual #5 star is extremely unstable and will need to be treated with care as activating the star with the wrong elements or noise can bring tragedy, sickness, lawsuits and major loss of wealth. The #5 star has no gender and no trigram and is highly treacherous when disturbed, so please read the advice for the east below.

I would avoid making loud noises and ground-breaking in the east this year as this will likely activate the malicious effects of the annual #5 star.

What is likely to activate the annual #5 star in 2020?

• Digging holes
• Laying foundations
• Refitting a bathroom or kitchen
• Playing the drums
• Having a children’s playroom in the east
• Having a generator running in the east
• Using power tools for several days
• Playing loud music repetitively
• Having too many earth colours in the east (brown, terracotta, beige or yellow)

Regardless of if you are likely to do any of the activities above in the east this year, prevention is always the best cure in Feng Shui and it is important to place a set of 6 coins in a row along with a salt water cure in the east to weaken the malevolent effects of the annual #5 star. It is also important to place a six rod hollow metal wind chime in the east along with other good quality metal cures.

Where are the worst flying stars in 2020 and where are they located?

I have listed the worst flying stars, including their locations. Please do not take these stars lightly as they can wreak havoc when activated and can bring all manner of troubles so please read below in the full Feng Shui analysis on how to treat these areas to avoid problems.

• 2 star – This can be found in the south in 2020
• 3 star – This can be found in the north in 2020
• 5 star – This can be found in the east in 2020
• 7 star – This can be found in the centre in 2020

A Flying star chart has a fairly balanced mix of good and bad flying stars with five auspicious stars and four inauspicious stars, and in period 8, the inauspicious stars are the 2, 3, 5, and 7 stars. In 2020, we must treat these stars with the relevant Annual Cures and Enhancers for the year as when disturbed or left untreated, they can cause all sorts of problems related to wealth, stress, illness, disputes, legal issues, death and much more so please make sure that you read through carefully on how to avoid issues during the year of the Rat. The worst palaces that are going to require care are the south, east, centre and north.

For my own home, the negative stars will fall into the following areas –

3 star – dining room and spare bedroom
5 star – stairway
7 star – dining room and hallway

I can tell straight away that I will need to treat the kitchen, home office and dining room very carefully this year as these are areas where I will be spending a lot of time which can cause the negative stars to become activated. I will be introducing some heavy metals into my kitchen and under my stairs for the #2 and #5 stars and will be checking over my colour scheme and making changes along with introducing the relevant cures from the 2020 Cures kit for the year.

It is not easy for the majority of us to abandon rooms with negative annual stars which is why we have included the appropriate annual cures and enhancers below for the Flying Stars of 2020 within the individual palaces making the areas manageable and usable.

Are you prepared for the energies in your home and business in 2020, year of the Yang Metal Rat?

Every single person has the risk of being affected by financial issues during 2020 and will need to make sure they take care when handling paperwork as they could make large mistakes this year, costing a lot of money. If you have your bedroom and living room in the south, north, east or centre in 2020 and smoke 20 cigarettes a day and eat a lot of junk food, the annual cures and enhancers will not be able to promise perfect health in 2020 although it will help you avoid a lot of potential problems and give you a significantly better chance in the year of the Rat.

One thing I can almost guarantee is that you will face some manner of problems in the year of the Rat and I am sure that I will too at some point. Feng Shui will not give you a completely perfect life although it will make it as good as it can be when you practice good Feng Shui. Think of it this way, if Feng Shui gave you a completely perfect, trouble free life, there would not be any Feng Shui masters as they would all be living in their version of paradise.

Feng Shui is the practise of enhancing the good aspects of your life and suppressing the bad aspects to create an enjoyable life and avoid problems that could potentially come your way without the help of Feng Shui. Placing just the Feng Shui cures and enhancers on their own will help immensely, but you should also make lifestyle changes too. Finances are going to require care again this year and if you think that you can place the cures on a Monday and then go and purchase a brand-new Range Rover on Tuesday, you are likely mistaken; Feng Shui cures work to protect, dissipate and enhance areas of your life.

What can I do to prepare for Chinese New Year 2020?

Every year, I write about how you can plan for the Chinese New Year and 2020, year of the Rat, I would start by reading through the 2020 Annual Flying Stars and then take a look at the 2020 Chinese Animal Predictions. After reading through these two documents, I would recommend taking a look at our 2020 Tong Shu Almanac and Chinese Animal Book or maybe consider our Feng Shui report which gives you completely personalised details.

For the past twenty one years, we have given this Feng Shui advice for free to hundreds of thousands of Feng Shui masters, practitioners, students and general enthusiasts all around the world to help them make the most of their home and business and ensure that their year ahead is as trouble free and prosperous as it can be. While we will make a lot of different suggestions on cures and enhancers to be placed in each sector for each year, we do not always agree with the approach some websites take when they state that you will not be able to enjoy a good year if you do not purchase the cures and enhancers that they have on their website and that you must place 20 different cures in each sector, usually charging a considerable amount more than they should; although some of this has some truth to it, you do not need to cover your whole home or office in cures and enhancers in order to activate or weaken the annual stars.

Our ethos is always to provide different alternatives that can be found around your home if you do not want to place the cures or cannot afford them as we believe that good Feng Shui should be available to the masses. While just using colours and shapes alone will not be as effective as placing the relevant Feng Shui cures and enhancers for 2020, they will still be a lot better than leaving home or office to chance as it is.

What should I do if I have last year’s Cures and Enhancers kit?

Over the years, I have seen hundreds of websites stating that at the end of every Chinese year, you need to throw away or bury your cures and enhancers before placing the new ones, and while there is some truth to this, the majority of your cures and enhancers can be cleansed and reused again and again until they become faded or broken.

Some items cannot be reused and will need to be replaced every Chinese New Year such as the salt water cure, Chinese I-Ching coins and Ba Gua mirror as these cures accumulate a lot of negative energy throughout the year and are safer to replace than reuse. To find out which of your Cures and Enhancers need to be replaced, I would search them in the store and read the advice as we state what can be reused and what should be renewed. I will replace the majority of my Cures and Enhancers at the end of the year apart from certain cures such as my brass Wu Lou and my Three Immortal statues that I bought in Bangkok many years ago as they are way too beautiful and have too much emotional value for me to replace them. The reason I replace my cures annually is that I have access to a warehouse full of everything that we have for sale on the website and it is much easier for me to replace the cures when I need to.

Certain Feng Shui Cures and Enhancers could last you a lifetime although there are some Cures and Enhancers that must be replaced every Chinese New Year. Last year, we had someone contact us asking for advice for placement for a box of Cures that had been passed down to them from a relative, and it turned out that they actually came from our shop and we always advise to pass Cures down to future generations as long as they have been cleansed.

To cleanse your Feng Shui cures and enhancers, follow the instructions below.

• Make a note of the cure’s placement on paper, so you know where it goes back
• Clean the cures with water carefully
• Sprinkle with rock salt. You can also use normal salt
• Place outside and leave overnight under moonlight (you can also do this under the sun for 4 hours)
• Rinse cures and dry them off
• Place cures in their appropriate compass sector

When we receive our Cures and Enhancers from our supplier and also when we ship our orders out, all of our Cures and Enhancers are cleansed of negative energy and empowered with positive Sheng Ch’i.

If you still have our cures and enhancers kit from twenty-one years ago, you can still use the majority of cures although please make sure you are not reusing the relevant Master Cure and Sheng Chi cure as these are tailored to each specific Chinese year and run in sixty-year cycles.

If you have any cures and enhancers that have become damaged and are chipped on the main part of the cure such as a chip on a Buddha’s head, I would wrap the cure in tissue paper and respectfully dispose of the cure in a bin outside the home, carefully placing it in.

Please never throw your Wu Lou or wealth ingot away as these are specially made for us and are the correct weight and size and I think they are a work of art and extremely powerful; I tend to get some metal polish every few years and go over my Wu Lou’s and wealth ingots with a toothbrush to bring them back to their original shine before I cleanse them.

I cannot afford to purchase these cures or enhancers this year, and my partner does not believe in Feng Shui, what should I do?

When I meet some new and they ask me what I do for a living, some people will imagine my home has large waving cats and enormous 8 foot Fu dog’s outside my front door and Chinese scrolls in every room and while I do have a small waving cat that my niece loves to watch, my home is not how most people imagine.

I will always have my cures and enhancers on display although most people would expect a home to look like a Chinese restaurant when they imagine a home that has been set up with Feng Shui in mind. Over my years as a Feng Shui consultant, I have visited many Chinese Restaurants, and you would be amazed how much rearranging needs to be done as they will usually have as much red in the shop front to give the traditional Chinese theme.

Feng Shui is not about having your house covered in Cures and enhancers; it is about using carefully selected cures in the right position to make sure they are as effective as they can be. You can also avoid problems and enhance your property by using colours, objects and the five elements – metal, water, wood, fire, earth.

Another misconception with Feng Shui is that it is a religion; Feng Shui is a way of life that helps you make the most of the different aspects to your life, similar with how the Danish will practise Hygge.

If you would rather not place a Wu Lou beside your bed or hang Six Chinese I-Ching coins in a row in the south or east on display in your home in 2020, you can always place them behind a picture frame or ornament so that visitors will not see them; this will make the cures a little less effective if they are inside a cupboard although they will help a lot more than if you did not have them at all.

For the east and south in 2020, I would introduce some good quality heavy metal ornaments in your home and business. Please make sure the metal that you introduce is smooth and round such as a gym weight, dog bowl or frying pan and be sure to avoid sharp edges such as knives or nails.

Another extremely powerful cure for the south and east in 2020 is to place a salt water cure in these areas to absorb negative energy. If you do not wish to use these, you can place a bowl of ultra-clean, still water but please be sure to make sure that the water is changed at least once a week and never let it stagnate as this will reflect around the whole home. The salt water cure is a much safer option to use and will be a lot more effective, although if you are looking for a discreet cure, I would try the still water. I do not always like to recommend using a bowl because they can get dirty especially if you live in a hot country and can cause many problems, so please be careful with this if you do not use the salt cure.

For the northwest and southeast, I would introduce some real quartz crystal in these two areas from the 4^th of February 2020 as we have the annual #6 and #8 stars here and will need some good earth elements to enhance these two auspicious stars. If you are using objects around your home to place in these areas, try to keep them square in shape as this will feed the earth element and enhance wealth and overall luck in 2020.

The most powerful and influential cure and enhancer for 2020 is the LianCaiZhong Nian Master Cure  this cure can only to be used in a Yang Metal Rat (Geng Zi) year. The last time that this powerful cure and enhancer would have been used was in 1960 although only a privileged few got to use it due to Feng Shui cures being less accessible back then.

The LianCaiZhong Nian master cure is used to protect and enhance wealth and good luck in 2020 and as this falls in to the northwest, it will affect the eldest male and all males in general in the home or office and will be needed especially for wealth in 2020. The Master cure is also very important for females this year. So, what exactly is flying star (Xuan Kong) Feng Shui?

Flying star (Xuan Kong) Feng Shui is the most powerful form of Feng Shui that is used by most professional Practitioners, and although you may think so, it has absolutely nothing to do with astrology. HOW TO FIND THE 2020 COMPASS SECTORS WITHIN YOUR HOME OR OFFICE

When working out the different compass sectors of your home, the first thing you will need is a floor plan; the best option is to contact your estate agent or architect for the original plan although you can get phone Apps these days to calculate and map out the plan of your home or office. If you have our Feng Shui Software, you can do your floor plan within the software which makes it very easy. Once you have your floor plan, you will need to split the home into nine equal sectors similar to a tic tac toe grid.

You will need a good quality compass to find your compass direction. If you do not know how to take a compass facing direction, please visit this page.

Once you’ve taken the compass readings of your building, you will have a good idea of the different compass sectors of your home or office and will be able to overlay the Lo Shu for 2020 according to the eight magnetic directions and centre to plan how to make the most of your life for the year ahead. If you already know the fixed flying stars, you can check how the annual stars will affect the fixed stars.

If you look at the floor plan below, you will see that the the 5 star falls into the east area for this home which falls into the master bedroom and for most of us, this will likely fall into a bedroom, kitchen, study or living room and could cause problems if you do not place any cures and enhancers. Avoiding bad luck in 2020

Looking at the chart above, you will see that we have the #2 black star enter the south of the lo shu in 2020 and this is combined with the three killings and Sui Po, and we are going to need special cures and enhancers in the south to weaken the malevolent influence of this star.

At the very least, I would hang a set of six Chinese coins tied with red ribbon and also place a salt water cure in the south and east to control and weaken the annual #2 and #5 stars.

The Three Killings – south (142.5 – 217.5)

You must avoid making any form of deafening renovations or re-decorative work in the south part of your home or office between 4th February 2020 and 3rd February 2021. You should not disturb the ground by digging holes (small holes for plants is fine), build foundations or conduct any maintenance work with any loud equipment in the areas inside or outside your property or garden.

If you have no option but to perform work in the south in 2020, I would strongly recommend that you place a six hollow rod metal wind chime along with six Chinese I-Ching coins and a salt water cure in the south during 2020. We take this very seriously at the Feng Shui Store as we’ve seen some pretty nasty events over the past 39 years when this energy has been disturbed.

There are also another two other rules that you should follow regarding the Three Killings. Firstly, if you are moving your desk around this year, never sit with your back towards the south, it is better to face south instead.

If you have a door in the south in 2020, please take a lot of care when opening and closing the door to make sure it is not slammed. Avoid the influence of the Three Killings by opening and shutting the door calmly or install a soft close hinge.

Urgent repairs to your home or office in the south during 2020 will need a cure to prevent any negative consequences. You can place a six-rod hollow metal rod wind chime between the building and where the work is being carried out or ideally, contact a professional Feng Shui Consultant to select an auspicious date to start the work. Tai Sui (aka The Grand Duke of Jupiter) – north (352.5º – 7.5º)

Like the Three Killings, Tai Sui does not like to be disturbed either. The effects of Tai Sui can be good or bad depending on the annual flying stars that coincide with its location.

If your property or front door faces north in 2020, much like the Three Killings, you must try to avoid doors from slamming when entering or leaving your home or workplace. You should avoid digging or renovating your property in this area at all costs. If you have an office or shop door in the north this year, I would recommend installing a soft close attachment. The traditional Chinese method to appease Tai Sui is to place a Lu Mi Tai Sui plaque to pay respect and appease the Deity and also weaken the annual #3 star.

By paying respect to Grand Duke of Jupiter, we can weaken or avoid the problems this can bring.

Sui Po (Year Breaker) – south (172.5º – 187.5º)

Sui Po is the year breaker, and it occupies the division directly opposite Tai Sui Grand Duke, which for 2020 is the south combined with the three killings and the #2 calamity star. You should treat this area the same as the other annual afflictions with no ground-breaking work, renovations or any loud activities. If disturbed, this area can and usually will cause immediate health problems, especially with regards to the elderly, so please be very careful with the south of your home or office this year.

Traditionally to appease this very nasty energy you must place a set of six Chinese coins tied with red ribbon and a salt water cure which we have included in all of our 2020 Cures and Enhancers Kits.

The annual five yellow star – east (68.5 – 112.5)

The annual five yellow has flown to the east in 2020, and this is not good and the reason why so many specialist cures are needed. It is highly recommended not to disturb the east of your home or business with noisy activities, renovations or maintenance work this year.

When disturbed, the Five Yellow can bring disaster, sickness, lawsuit and significant loss of wealth, so please be very careful in the east as it is very afflicted. In 2020 you must place a set of six Chinese i-ching coins tied with red ribbon, a six-rod hollow metal wind chime and a salt water cure in the east to avoid the problems that are associated the #5 yellow disaster star.

Water placement in 2020:

As we entered period 8 (4th February 2004), the use of water outside is critical up until 2024, a pond/water feature positioned outside in the correct area can really work in your favour although you should not site a pond/water feature unless advised by professional Feng Shui consultant, you can, however, safely place water outside in the southwest up until 2024.

Outside water placement in 2020:

During the year of the Rat, outside water can be placed in the southwest or east (only if you have been advised by a Feng Shui master as the annual #5 resides in the east in 2020) as these are your primary wealth areas for the next four years while we are in period 8. In 2020, outside water is best placed in the northwest but please note that you should only use outside water if you know the natal chart of your home and have a good understanding of the land formations of your home.

Indoor water placement for 2020:

If you have to use indoor water in 2020, the best area is in the northwest as this will help to activate the auspicious #8 star for the year of the Rat. Regardless though, it is better to seek professional advice before placing any water feature inside or out as in Feng Shui it is the catalyst to good and bad so please take care and consult or use our software.

If you decide that you want to use water inside your home, please make sure that the water is kept clean and fresh at all times and make sure that the water is constantly flowing as stagnant water will cause the Qi to become trapped in the home and bring negative energy into the home or office. Using water in Feng Shui is a very powerful tool and is a vital part of Feng Shui (Shui meaning water). The Qi around the home or office is caught by the water and is then cleansed and distributed around the building provided the water is clean and flowing. Salt water cure after just 4 weeks.

We get thousands of emails each year from people with all different levels of knowledge in Feng Shui telling us how helpful the salt water cure has been for their home and business and how they have helped change the energy for the better; receiving these emails always make my day, finding out how Feng Shui has helped others.

The Salt Water Cure is an extremely powerful and little-known cure and one that we have used in our home, warehouse and office for over twenty-one years. We replace the Salt Water Cures once a year at the least and sometimes they need to be replaced within a few months as they remove so much negative energy from the surrounding area.

You should place a Salt Water Cure in the east and south of your home and office from the 4^th February 2020 to weaken and control the annual #2 and #5. Please do not try to reuse the coins from last year’s cure or coins from other cures as they should be replaced when setting up a new cure.

When we are working with the flying stars, there will be many different circumstances to how the stars will effect each building; for example, If you have an annual #5 in your open plan living room during 2020, the energy from the #5 yellow’s presence can flow in to another area of the home or office so it is always best to treat the negative areas rather than take an out of sight, out of mind approach; having the annual #5 in a broom cupboard or lesser used room is very good as the chances of activating this star are a lot less likely although it is still vital to treat. Try to think of the annual stars such as the #5 as a perfume; if you sprayed some perfume in your bedroom, you would probably be able to smell it downstairs as the smell drifts around the building. If possible, it is always preferable to avoid rooms with negative stars although I would still recommend placing the necessary Cures and Enhancers for 2020.

I need to get rid of my old salt water cure; what should I do?

When replacing your salt water cure, I would recommend replacing it at the end of the year at the very least, or if the salt cure grows too large, I would replace it when the salt formation spills over the sides. I will usually replace my salt water cure in my own home when the salt starts to form around 5mm over the top of the glass as this is usually a sign that the cure needs replacing and has absorbed enough negative Qi.

Once you replace your salt water cure, you should leave it in place and do not touch it except for topping up with water until you need to replace your cure as disturbing it could unsettle the negative qi that the cure has absorbed. When you come to remove your Salt Water Cure, you should carefully place the whole thing (salt, water, glass and coins) in to a Tupperware type container or water tight plastic bag inside a cardboard box and dispose of it in a recycling bin straight away. If you do not have a Tupperware tub to dispose of the salt water cure, you can carefully pour the water down an outside drain although I do not like to recommend this and this is more of a last option scenario.

We have had people say to us that they have still got the same salt water cure from 5 years ago which is extremely dangerous and not worth the risk. Please replace your salt water cure every Chinese New Year at the very least. We try to keep our salt water cures as cheap as possible so that they are available to the majority and all of the coins we use come from a good dynasty, making them even more effective.

Annual Flying Star analysis for 2020, year of the Yang Metal Rat (Geng Zi)

When reading the annual analysis for the 2020 Flying stars, please bear in mind that the advice we give can only be taken from a general point of view as to how the stars will affect the different compass sectors. When implementing the cures and enhancers for your home, please go around the different areas and consider items and colours you are already using as these could affect the stars for the year. It is also wise to consider the combination of the ‘facing’ and ‘sitting’ stars of the property’s natal chart and we cannot account for this in the report below.

Please take your time when reading through the analysis below for the annual flying stars for 2020. When you first read the advice below, it may seem as though this year will bring lots of problems although you will soon realise that there are many ways to control the negative influences and enhance the positive ones, making the most out of the year of the Rat. In 2020, we have the #8 annual star fly into the northwest of every home, office, and building around the world and this star can bring tremendous wealth luck when activated correctly this year. The #8 star is the primary annual wealth star for the next four years while we are in period eight and will need to be activated with special cures and enhancers this year. Kan 1 White In 2020, Kan trigram is in the northeast 

Kan #1 is a water element. In the physical body, it is the ear. Internal organ it is the kidneys, and it is also blood. It also affects career and luck.

In the year of the Rat, as of the 4^th of February 2020, the annual #1 water star Kan (Tan Lang) has flown into the northeast of every home, office, and building around the world. The inherent energy of the northeast is water which will be draining energy from the visiting annual star, and we will need to introduce some powerful cures to maximise the visiting energy in this area in 2020.

The northeast is especially important for the youngest male of the household and all males in general, although it is still extremely important for females. To activate the northeast and enhance wealth, relationship, and career luck, we will need to introduce metal along with two very powerful cures – a FuXi Dual Dragon bell and a  to make sure the northeast is as rewarding as it can be this year.

The main cure that you should place in the northeast is the FuXi Dual Dragon bell as this is a very powerful and traditional cure and enhancer to enhance and protect the annual #1 future wealth star. When placed in your home or office, the Dual Dragon bell can generate new opportunities for the occupants and create results in financial investments, academic achievements and also enhance romance and relationships. Another extremely powerful and vital cure to enhance wealth, relationships and career in the northeast is to place a Qian Cai Chan Chu Three-legged Toad and wealth pot. If you have a bedroom in the northeast this year and the bed falls into this sector, I would recommend placing a brass Wu Lou talisman here to protect and enhance wealth.

Please do not place any fire colours in the northeast in 2020 as this will drain the energy of the annual #1 star and could cause a loss of wealth. If you already have fire colours in the northeast and cannot remove them, I would make sure that you introduce some strong water colours along with metal cures to balance the energies.

If you are using furniture and ornaments in the northeast  I would try choosing objects with waves and ripples as this represents the water element and will work very well here this year.

• If you have a bedroom in the northeast, I would place a brass Wu Lou next to your bed and also introduce a blue, black, grey or charcoal duvet cover, throw or pillows.
• If you cannot afford to purchase a wu lou, you should place a heavy round object close to your bed; a quick, easy cure is to place a good quality frying pan under your bed for the year.

Kun 2 Black  In 2020, the Kun 2 Black (Ju Men) visits the south

The south is a very nasty area in 2020 as we have not only the annual #2 star fly in, we also have the Three Killings and Sui Po in the same compass sector which can bring financial and illness problems to all occupants of the home or office, especially middle daughter and females in general although this will still effect all males and will need some extremely powerful cures along with peace.

When we weaken the annual #2 star in the south we can greatly weaken the chances of disturbing this area and activating the malicious effects of Sui Po and the Three Killings, which can cause issues relating to wealth, disease, stress, illness, back stabbing and overall bad luck in 2020.

The annual #2 star is one of the worst stars in period eight and when combined with the other annual afflictions, this area will need to be treated with some very powerful metal cures in 2020 if you are to avoid problems. It is important that the south is treated carefully during the year of the Rat and that the area is not activated with loud noise, banging or drilling. The south will need to be treated with the appropriate cures and enhancers if we are to avoid problems in this area.

If your home or office has a front door in the south in 2020, it is very important that you do not slam the door and if possible, I would suggest that you install a soft close hinge, as loud noises can activate the maleficent effects of the Three Killings and Sui Po. You must also aim to avoid any internal doors or windows being slammed in this area and avoid digging or renovating your property in this area at all costs. If you have no option but to undergo heavy work this year, please make sure that you follow the advice below and also have the relevant cures in place and try to do so when an auspicious monthly flying star flies in to the south, which would be in April, May, June, August, October, or January 2021.

One of the most important cures that you can place in your home or office is to place a Juan Kuan offering plate (aka wealth vase) in the south of your home, office, or building. This cure and enhancer was specially made to exact measurements and engraved for us and is used to protect, cure and help create new wealth and good luck in 2020 for every occupant of a building. The ideal area for the south to fall into in your home or office in 2020 would be in a bathroom, spare room or storage space as these rooms are used less than a bedroom or kitchen and would be less likely to activate from noise. If your front door, bedroom, office, lounge or other well-used room is located in the south, this will inevitably activate its malicious effects, so read on…

The #2 star will affect the health of those under its influence and can bring problems relating to wealth, illness, disease, stress, back stabbing and overall bad luck so please take this advice seriously and do not leave the south untreated and see what happens this year. This is especially so for people who are a Gua #1, 3, 4 or 9. Another powerful cure for the south in 2020 is to place a statue of Tsai Shen Yeh in a gold colour. The God of wealth statue is very good at weakening the bad earth and also protects wealth for 2020, making this a very powerful cure.

Please do not introduce any red colours in the south during the year of the Rat and at all costs, avoid using candles in this area as this will aggravate the malevolent effects of the annual #2 star. If you have any red colours in the south that cannot be removed this year, such as a red sofa, do not worry too much and be sure to introduce some strong metal colours and cures such as a silver or white throw over the sofa. Good metal colours to use in the south this year are white, silver, gold, bronze or copper.

Placing a Metal Wu Lou beside your bed is a good cure if you have no option but to sleep in the south of your home this year as this symbolises good health and dissipates the negative energy of the #2 star.

The best treatment for the south of your home or office during 2020 is to place a Juan Kuan offering plate, salt water cure and six Chinese coins tied with red ribbon. I would also recommend introducing some metal cures in the south as of the 4^th of February 2020 such as a metal Wu Lou, singing bowl or other good quality metal objects although please make sure that they are smooth in shape and do not use any menacing or pointy objects as this will be counterproductive.

The best cure for the south in 2020 is an avoidance of the area altogether which is near impossible to do, but if you are fortunate enough to be able to avoid 1/9^th of your home, I would still recommend placing the cures for 2020.

Now having given you all this bad news, I will now give some hope for those who are Gua 2, 6, 7 or 8 as while this combination, on the whole, is very bad, it can be good for them in wealth and career, you would still be wise to place the recommended cures as detailed here but the effects of the #2 black will not be bad for you and can even give you positive results.

The north is especially afflicted in 2020 as we have Tai Sui fall into the area, making this a very risky area that will require treating along with peace.

A pendulum chiming clock in the east is a very effective cure this year, and while this contradicts what I said about keeping the area quiet, the chiming sound of the clock is as important as the moving metal of the pendulum.
