What do we do with this information?
In every house, there are good and bad palaces which affect our daily lives. How and who gets affected (good or bad) depends on who occupies which area of the home or business. The best Cure is to be aware of the influences each month and know how to capitalise on the beneficial energies or avoid the unfavourable influences either through enhancers or cures or avoidance. Knowing the effects of the influences allows us to take appropriate measures and actions to calm interactions. So, do not get too worried when you come across a particularly bad sector – sometimes with thought, care and the appropriate elements, we can balance any conflict of energies or compensate the lack of an element to bring harmony to a palace. If a palace is particularly bad, avoidance is the best cure.
Please do not panic when you find that your bedroom is located in an affected sector for the month. This is only a temporary influence and can be avoided.
- Use the beneficial areas more and the areas of negative influences less. For example, if the living room is affected by conflicting energies, try not to play loud music in this room for the month. By keeping the area quiet, you successfully manipulate the effect of the energies.
- If possible, use another door if your main door is affected this month.
- Use the good sectors to solve existing problems whether they concern relationships or money matters.
If your main door is affected and this is the only door you have in your property, you should take extra care in what you do during the affected month. You will know it may not be a good time to take risks and also to take extra care of your health.

From December 7th to 6th January 2014 is the month of Jia Zi (Yang Wood Rat), the eleventh month of the Gui Si year (Yin Water Snake year) with the ruling energy of #1 White in the central grid.
Beneficial sectors for December 2013
East – Businesses with their main door located in the east in December 2013 can expect a good turn in business this month. Place a moving object here to generate more business but this is only for the month. You must remove it when the month is over. If you have an outdoor water feature in this location you may see financial gains or good career prospects. Make use and spend time in this room to benefit from its influence.
North – The north is a good area for those in politics or physical activities. The influence carries with it creativity too and therefore is also good for those in the writing field. If your office is here you can expect recognition for all the hard work and effort you have put in. Children should also use this area for studies as it promotes academic achievement and is good for examinations.
Northeast – This is a good area for studies and meditation or any spiritual pursuits. This is generally a good area for all except children under twelve years old. If this is a child’s bedroom, place a light in the northeast corner of the room and leave it on for at least four hours a day/evening. You could also hang a small wooden Wu-Lou in the northeast corner of their bed.
Southeast – Newly married couples occupying this sector will benefit greatly from the benevolent qi conducive to building long term relationships. This is also the wealth corner for the month so take advantage of this influence and make good use of this room.
Sectors to be aware of this month:
South – Avoid renovating this area during the month at all costs. Remember, this is also where the Three Killings resides for the year. Houses or offices with main doors in the south location must be cautious as there may be unforeseen problems, financial risks, mishaps and accidents if this area of property or land is disturbed with noisy activities, slamming of doors or major digging in the garden in this direction.
If this is your bedroom, try to avoid using this room especially those with a weak heart or recuperating from an operation. If you cannot avoid the room, try to use a good sector of the room instead e.g. the southeast or north. Place metal cures (e.g. a golden Wu-Lou or 6 Chinese coins) in the south corner of the room. Do not decorate the room with red furnishing e.g. bedspread, curtains.
Southwest – Anyone under this influence may find their temper flares easily ad that they have low tolerance threshold. Try to keep a cool mind when dealing with issues. Avoid using this area for discussions or for settling differences.
If this is your office, place something blue around the desk (e.g. a blue vase, blue stationery etc…) and avoid displaying too many red items on the desk. Keep them away in the drawer for the month. If this is your kitchen or living room where there’s a fire place or candles are often lit, make sure you do not leave any lit fire unattended. Smoke alarms are a good precaution. If you do not have one, it may be a good idea to install one now especially if this is the kitchen.
Avoid using the southwest area for studies. The north, northeast and southeast are good areas for studies this month.
West – If you are the occupant of this room, be careful when you are out and about. Keep your belongings close to you at all times as the qi influence brings potential for being robbed.
If your office is located in this sector of the office unit, pay attention to details in what you do especially with documents and bank statements. Sometimes the mistakes may not be yours. Beware of being cheated by schemes or tricks and try to keep on the right side of the law. If you are under this influence, this is not a good time to participate in any speculative activities or gambling. You can place a gold abacus with a marble stand on your office to calm interaction especially if you are dealing with any form of accounts.
You should be extra vigilant with respect to the security of doors located in this sector of the property. Make sure doors and windows are fastened before leaving the property alone.
Northwest – If your office is here, try to get as much rest as possible. Headaches are prevalent under this month’s influence. Occupants of bedrooms located in the northwest may experience niggling illnesses. Dress appropriately according to the weather especially those in the northern hemisphere and round the equator. You can place a small metal (golden) Wu-Lou by the bedside table to help negate the illness influence.
On the other hand, if this is your meditation area, you will find the month’s influence here very favourable to your spiritual pursuits.
