Are you prepared for 2004?

2004 – Some Masters and Practitioners are predicting a very bad year because the annual stars fly back to their original Lo Shu map and double the effects in a negative way. We believe along with many other Masters that 2004 will not be that bad because as they have flown home so to speak they are less volatile because they will feel more at home.

2004 could be a year of conflict for people born in the year of the Tiger or the Pig, particularly those born in the year of the Earth Tiger 1938 (age 66). Look after your health and do not overexert yourself. For more information on your personal Chinese Animal for 2004 click here.

Please do not start worrying if your bedroom or office are located in the south-west, just start preparing to place your 2004 cures and enhancers kit to ensure a trouble free year 2004, and of course make sure you sign up for our free monthly newsletter so you are kept up to date with the monthly flying stars giving you even more control of your destiny.

A danger foreseen is a danger that can be avoided

Many websites will tell you to throw away or bury your old wind chimes, six coins, Pi Yao and Dragon Headed Tortoise etc from the previous year because they store so much negative energy, this is not necessary as long as you cleanse the items before replacing for the new Chinese year. To cleanse them ideally you should place outside under a full moon overnight or in direct sunlight for at least 4 hours and sprinkle with rock salt. Rinse under water in the morning and place them in the appropriate areas. This must be done before you replace for 2004 otherwise the cures will not be effective because of the negative energy they store. This does not apply to the salt water cure, as this MUST be renewed every year without exception. As with all our products including these annual cures kits, they are all cleansed of negative energy and empowered with positive Sheng Ch’i energy, which makes them so much more effective.

So what is flying star (Xuan Kong)?

Flying star (Xuan Kong) Feng Shui is the most powerful form that most professional Practitioners use, it has absolutely nothing to do with astrology. It is an analysis of the five elements, land formations and star combinations that occupy your building. Each Chinese New Year these annual stars change, bringing good and bad energy.

Every year and month we give accurate information of how you can suppress or enhance the sectors of your home or office. Every building throughout the world will have these changing annual stars and you will need to take into account their ability to cause harm ranging from, sickness, wealth problems, legal problems, gossip, relationship problems and just overall bad luck and of course their ability to give auspicious good luck in wealth, health, romance, education and overall good well being. Unless a good star is activated it is of no benefit to you so follow our advice carefully.

Sample of a Flying Star report

2004 is the 4701st year of the Chinese calendar.

The first day of the Hsia (solar) calendar starts on
February 4th 2004 at 19:57 in China, GMT is 11:57am

Chinese New Year falls on January 22nd 2004.

The Annual Feng Shui Afflictions

The Three Killings – this yearly affliction is in the South (135.5º to 225.5º). It is essential that you do not undertake any form of renovations or re-decorative work in this part of your house between February 4th and February 3rd 2005. Nor should you disturb the ground by digging holes or work with any noisy equipment in this part of the garden. Once disturbed, they bring about three types of misfortunes – financial loss, sickness and arguments.

Apart from not disturbing its ground, there are two other rules you should follow regarding the Three Killings. Firstly, if you are moving your desk around this year, never sit with your back to this direction (South 135.5º to 225.5º). Secondly, it is better to face this direction (South), especially if this is one of your four favourable personal directions. A Chinese traditional remedy is to place a Laughing Buddha in the south sector of your office or living room of your home.

Tai Sui (The Grand Duke of Jupiter) resides between 232.5º – 247.5º southwest. It is vital that you must never sit facing this 15º sector. If you confront him, you will experience defeat, demotion, loss and obstacles. Instead, sit with your back to this sector and he will support you.

The traditional Chinese method is to place a dragon headed tortoise and a Pi Yao in the northeast sector of the room facing southwest where Tai Sui sits to appease him. Use a compass and take the reading from the middle of the home to place the dragon headed tortoise and Pi Yao accurately to the 15º radius.

Now how far do you take this no digging or no noisy equipment?

What if your garden is in the south or south-west? Does this mean no cutting the lawn or cutting back the trees with a noisy hedge trimmer in 2004? Of course you have to do these jobs and if you cannot avoid building work or digging, follow the following two rules to reduce any harm that may result.

  • Place a six-rod metal wind chime between your house and building work whilst the work is being done.
  • Start trimming or mowing from a different corner of the garden. Let us say your garden is in the south of the property. You should remember to start your garden work from the north corner of the garden.

This may seem extreme but believe me; I will be doing it next year every time I cut the lawn as my garden falls into the south.

2004 Annual Flying Stars

The analysis of the annual flying stars can only be conducted from a general point of view offering indications as to the influences of the stars in the respective palaces for the year.

How each sector affects the wealth and health aspects of the residents depends greatly on the quality and combination of the ‘facing’ and ‘sitting’ stars of the property’s natal chart. If you have had a consultation by Michael or Sallie they will be able to advise you better for 2004.

2004 starts a new twenty year Construction Period of the lower era – Period 8. You will also see that this same year, the annual flying stars return to their original Lo Shu position as below.

Lo Shu map and flying stars, smaller number is flying star for 2004.

Kan 1 White in the North is regarded as a favourable star in Period 8. Its element is water. It brings new opportunities, gains in financial investments, academic achievements and scholarly pursuits. The intensity of these attributes will differ in varying degrees according to the influence of the visiting monthly stars. Those who occupy a room in this sector will feel the good influences in the months of March, May, August, September, October and December.

To enhance place a round metal vase here filled with coins to strengthen the good water, if your door is located in this position try and use it as much as possible. You should avoid earth elements such as crystals although jade crystal is a powerful enhancer, porcelain, terracotta or earth colours yellow or brown, because earth weakens water. If you have a bathroom here make sure you keep the toilet lid closed when flushing. This is a good area to have a brass three legged Toad as the metal along with the symbolic powers will increase the wealth power. Also a good area to have 3 Chinese coins tied with red ribbon.

Summary: Use metal ornaments, keep area active with windows and doors open. Toilet lids kept closed; avoid quartz crystal (Jade is good though) and earth colours.

Kun 2 Black in the Southwest is an unfavourable star along with Tai Sui (Grand Duke) so be extra careful. Its element is earth. This star affects the health of those under its influence bringing with it sickness, disease, stress and distress. For those, especially pregnant women, occupying a bedroom in this sector, take extra care with health during the months of May, August and September.

If your office is in the southwest sector of the building or office you will find yourself easily getting into arguments, disagreement and quarrels as the energy denotes a fiery influence in the months of March, July, October and December. It pays to be wise and avoid taking too many risks for there may be unscrupulous people working against you. There are indications of misunderstandings, pressure and business rivalries that could also lead to losses. If you have a bathroom, cloakroom, en-suite, guest room or a large cupboard in this area this is good for you this year, because these areas are not used much their negative power is not activated.

You should place a salt water cure, Wu Lou and six Chinese coins tied with red ribbon and also place more metal decorative objects (provided they are not menacing looking, round shape metal is good) to dissipate its negative influence in the southwest corner of your home or room. Tsai Shen Yeh (God of wealth) in a gold colour is very effective at not only reducing the bad earth but by also protecting your wealth for the year. Make sure there are no red items, bright lights or burning candles in this area. Do not worry if you have these colours already just introduce colours white, silver, gold or copper in the way of a floor mat, cushions, throws, tablecloth or such like. If you have a main door that falls in the south-west in 2004 you would also be advised to hang a Ba Gua mirror outside to deflect the negative energy.

Summary: Hang six Chinese coins tied with red ribbon; place a salt water cure, use round metal ornaments, place a Tsai Shen Yeh to protect wealth, keep area quiet and doors and windows closed. Do not have bright lights here or burn candles or use colours red, pink or purple. Avoid large indoor plants especially bamboo. Do not do any digging or breaking of the ground in the south-west for 2004.

Please remember that Tai Sui (The Grand Duke of Jupiter) resides between 232.5º – 247.5º southwest. It is vital that you must never sit facing this 15º sector. If you confront him, you will experience defeat, demotion, loss and obstacles. Instead, sit with your back to this sector and he will support you.

Chen 3 Jade is located in the East. Its element is big wood. Its influence negatively affects personal relationships. It involves being cheated so do watch out for thieves. It is an energy of confrontation and conflict. This area also causes arguments and legal problems so avoid keeping any important documents in the east this year.

To remedy its effects use red decorative objects (a red dragon or laughing Buddha), lamps and lights. A nice simple cure is a red floor mat or a table lamp with a red shade. Do not use metal to control this energy for you will aggravate it, restricting the beneficial influence brought by auspicious monthly stars in certain months and magnify its negative influence especially during the months of March, April, May, August, September, October and January 2005. If your main door is in the east try and avoid using it and place a red floor mat here and try and leave a hall or outside light on as much as you can, this will weaken the #3. Do not have a water feature inside here unless a professional Practitioner has advised you.

Summary: Use colours red, pink, purple or orange to weaken. Keep area quiet, close windows and doors; do not have metal ornaments here or an indoor water feature. Either keep a light on or burn a candle with care now and again.

From February 4th 2004 – 2024 the east will be the Secondary Wealth area for the 20 years in Period 8 and it requires water in the outside to be activated, if you follow this link you will find more details.

Sun 4 Green is located in the Southeast. Its element is small wood. This is a conditional star but is auspicious in Period 8 (2004 – 2024). It governs romance, travel, creative, academic and artistic talents, wisdom and intelligence as well as self-development. If you want to enhance this wonderful star use a water feature or colours blue or black, this is a good area to have a pair of Mandarin Ducks, Dragon headed Tortoise or photos of you and your partner/family. Be warned that if your front door is here, this 4 star can bring both wanted and unwanted romantic opportunities to the household. Do not use fire or metal in this area or colours white, silver or reds. Do not worry if you have these colours already just introduce colours blue or black in the way of a floor mat, cushions, tablecloth or such like.

As in every star, the 4 Green has a positive and negative aspect to its nature. Although a favourable annual star in 2004, it can also be affected by the presence of an unfavourable monthly star and when it does, it denotes betrayal, heartbreaks, scandals and humiliation in affairs of the heart. The affected months are May, July, September and October. So keep an eye on our monthly newsletter for updates. Treat this area as your relationship and creativity area.

Summary: Avoid fire element and colours red, pink or purple. Good colours are blue or black. Good place for an indoor water feature if it is romance that you want. If you wish to enhance areas of creativity and academic achievements, place or hang moving objects to enhance the Ch’i of this sector. Keep area semi active with windows occasionally open. Do not use metal items here. Spend time here if you want to enhance romance, creativity or academic pursuits.

The 5 Yellow returns home to the central palace. Its element is earth. It is more favourable for the Five Yellow to return to the central palace for it is here that it is most stable. However, from the aspect of time, the Five Yellow is still regarded as a very negative influence.

The Five Yellow is also considered as one of the Annual Feng Shui Afflictions. Wherever the Five Yellow is, you must never disturb its position by lots of drilling or knocking activities. So please be careful when you hang your metal six rod wind chime to control its influence in the central sector of your house.

You should place a salt water cure, Wu Lou and six Chinese coins tied with red ribbon and also place more metal decorative objects (provided they are not menacing looking, round shape metal is good) to dissipate its negative influence especially during the months of February, April, July, August, November and January 2005. What you must not do is place red objects, bright lights or red coloured furnishing in this sector. Make sure there are no red items, bright lights or burning candles in this area. Do not worry if you have these colours already just introduce colours white, silver, gold or copper in the way of a floor mat, cushions, throws, tablecloth or such like. If your bathroom, cloakroom, en-suite, guest room or a large cupboard is located here, this is good for you this year, because these areas are not used much and therefore the negative power is not activated.

Summary: Do not activate this area with loud noises, keep quiet and avoid at all costs building work or refurbishment. Do not use the fire element or colours red, pink or purple. Keep doors closed. Place six-rod wind chime, Wu Lou, salt water cure and six coins here along with metal ornaments. Use colours white, silver, gold or copper. I will repeat this part, as it is so important, please keep the centre of your home quiet, avoid redecoration and building work in 2004 and when you hang your wind chime try not to make so much noise with hammers etc, don’t worry about the noise the wind chime makes, this is all part of the cure, so when it is in place try and remember to knock it a few times a day.

Ch’ien 6 White is located in the Northwest. Its element is big metal. 6 White is an auspicious influence in Period 8. It is excellent for those who are spiritually inclined, philosophers and thinkers alike. Those who occupy this sector will enjoy excellent business and career success. However, whilst 6 White represents attainment, it also denotes loneliness and wasted potential when affected by unfavourable monthly stars. Headaches are also prevalent when malevolent monthly stars afflict the 6 White in March, May, September and December.

Do not place too much metal in this sector although this is a good area for a small round metal wealth pot to enhance wealth and business. The perfect remedy is to hang a faceted crystal sphere or quartz crystal to enhance. If you suffer from migraines or depression you should avoid this area in the months listed above. Do not use water and fire in this area.

Summary: Keep area active with windows and doors open. A good place for crystals, avoid water and fire and colours blue, black, red, pink or purple. Good colours are earth colours yellow.

Tui 7 Red is located in the West. Its element is small metal. It was a very auspicious influence in Period 7 but starts losing its positive strength in Period 8, however, this will still be a neutral star for 2004. However, 7 Red is a fighting star and its negative nature denotes assault, violence and robbery. So take extra security measures if you have a front, back or side door in the west sector. This is because when combined with negative monthly stars in the months of March, August, September and December, it threatens a high risk of burglary or robbery.

The best remedy is to stay away from this sector or try to use it less frequently. You can also use more blue in your decoration. Do not use anything of fire element or colours red to control it as this may aggravate it and don’t forget that the negative influence of the monthly stars are usually of the earth elements.

Summary: Keep area quiet and doors and windows kept closed. Good colours are blue or black. Avoid earth and fire colours and crystals.

Ken 8 White is the noble star for Period 8 and is located in the northeast. Its element is earth. This is the current most auspicious star of the flying star system. Wealth, prestige and distinction can be expected. It brings good fortune and exciting times. It also represents a strengthening of family values. 8 White in the northeast benefits young people most and they can meet with great success.

The most auspicious month of the year for the northeast is August. Most months are very good for the northeast except for February, May and November where health issues may suffer a little setback. Beware of placing a water feature here to optimise the benefits this sector brings even if you have an auspicious facing star 8 in your natal chart. The northeast in Period 8 should not be activated with water. The wonderful energies can be activated merely by human activities. So use this sector as often as possible and keep windows and doors open. If you wish to enhance this sector with symbols, this is where the red 3-legged toad, Pi Yao, red Dragon should be placed. In addition, a faceted crystal sphere placed in the northeast corner of a room will further strengthen the earth element of 8 white. Do not place metal here, as it will weaken the good earth. Great news if you have your main door here and if you are in an office try and locate your desk in this area.

Summary: Keep area active with windows and doors open. Do not have metal here or colours white, silver, gold or copper. Good colours are red, pink or purple. Place crystals and fire elements here. Place 3-legged Toad, red Dragon, Pi Yao and Dragon headed Tortoise (facing SW) make sure they are not made of metal though. If you have a metal Toad it is better placed in the north. Treat this area as your wealth area for 2004.

Li 9 Purple is located in the south. 9 Purple is the star of future wealth and has an auspicious influence in Period 8. Its element is fire. Its nature denotes brightness, fame and improvement. 9 Purple as an annual star is also an expanding star. It has extreme effects in that when accompanied by an auspicious monthly star, the beneficial influence is doubled. On the other hand, if a malevolent monthly star visits this sector, 9 Purple will magnify the negative influence it brings. Because the south falls into the “three killings” this year it may be unpredictable so I would advise not enhancing or curing.

So watch out for March, May, June and December when this sector is visited by the monthly 2, 3 and 5. The best cure is to avoid using this sector during these months but if you have to use it you should join our free monthly newsletter to be updated on what to do for these months.

Water placement and 2004

As we enter period 8 (4th February 2004) the use of water outside is critical up until 2024, so a pond outside in the correct area can really work in your favour. You must not unless advised by a professional Practitioner place water in the north-east up until 2024.

Outside water: Can be placed in the south-west or east, this is your primary and secondary wealth areas for the next twenty years, for more details on this follow this link.

Indoor water: Do not place water inside your property in the east, north-west, north-east, south, south-west for 2004. A good place for indoor water in 2004 is in the south-east for romance and north for career and business.

You must make sure the water is clean and flowing and never allow it to become stagnant. Water is a very powerful enhancer and is the essence of Feng Shui (Shui meaning water) the Ch’i is caught by the water and cleansed (providing the water is clean) and distributed throughout your property. If you look on our resource pages you will find more detailed information on water placement for 2004 and beyond.

Whilst the methods above are considered safe, there are many exceptions to the placement of water and as Master Practitioners and teachers we use many more methods of water placement for wealth, education and relationship, these methods whilst extremely powerful can only be used with expert guidance and a full analysis of your property and land formations, please visit this link for more details of an on-line consultation or home/business visit.

“To shorten winter, borrow some money that is due in spring.”

Salt water cure after 4 weeks.

salt water cure

Every year we receive thousands of e-mails saying how the salt water cure changed the energy in their home for the better; this is a very powerful and little known cure and one that we have been using for twenty years. You should use the salt water cure this year February 4th 2004 in the centre of home and south-west (DO NOT REUSE LAST YEARS SALT WATER CURES IF IT IS MORE THAN TWO MONTHS OLD), if you have a bathroom, utility or cloakroom here you may not need one as long as you always keep these doors closed. There are many exceptions to be made, the thing to remember with flying stars is if you have a 5 yellow in the centre of your home and if it is open plan home the 5 yellow’s power can drift into any other part of the home, think of perfume, if you sprayed some in your bedroom your partner may still be able to smell it downstairs because the smell goes into the air (Ch’i) and drifts around the home, so as general advice it is better to cure than leave to chance.

How to dispose of your old salt water cure?

You should change your salt water cure every year or if it is over two months old, why? Because they store an enormous amount of negative energy and moving it causes problems in all parts of a building. The best way is to get a Tupperware type container (margarine tub etc) and place the entire contents salt, water, glass and coins into it, close and seal the lid and throw straight into an outside bin. If you do not have a container pour the water down an outside drain (one at the back of house that leads away from the building) and place the salt/glass and coins into a plastic bag and place in bin. Please do not try and recycle, it is not worth it, this is the main reason we sell ours so cheap to make sure people can easily and cheaply renew them, last year I saw a few websites selling these for 4-5 times as much as us. As with all our products they are cleansed of all negative energy and empowered with positive energy and the coins also come from a good dynasty making them even more effective.
