Those born in the year of the Rooster may be affected by the conflicting influences of the year of the Yin Metal Rabbit (Xia Mao) as your Chinese animal is in direct conflict with Grand Duke. In saying this, we hope that those born in the year of the Rooster are aware of potential difficulties they may encounter during the year and take extra care in whatever they do without taking undue risks. The degree of influence varies from one person to another. One of the major considerations is the heavenly stem of the year in which one was born, more on this later.

The Yin Metal Rabbit year occupies the 4th position in the Chinese Zodiac and is normally a more peaceful year which is a blessing after the turbulent year of the Tiger, although there will still be many ups and downs throughout the year and very special Feng Shui cures and enhancers are needed to avoid problems in 2011 especially when it comes to finance as this is an area that needs many cures in 2011.

Chinese New Year (according to the lunar calendar) starts on the 3rd February 2011 and is celebrated by the Chinese all over the world. It heralds new beginnings and a fresh start. At a social level, it is very much a family affair, a time of reunion, forgiveness, sharing and thanksgiving. In 2011 Chinese New Year falls on Thursday February 3rd 2011 at 10.31 (am) China (Lunar calendar), Thursday 3rd 02.31 United Kingdom, Wednesday 2nd 18.31 California USA, and Thursday 3rd 03.31 Barcelona Spain. Due to time differences around the world Chinese New Year will fall what appears to be a day early in some countries.

The Rat is in for a fantastic year with very little to say on the negative side for 2011, although there are a few months you will need to be careful, which I will discuss later. The Rats career will be very prominent throughout 2011 and those in business for themselves will climb to huge new heights providing you apply yourself and think carefully. There will be some amazing opportunities in 2011, you need to be careful of signing contracts especially if you have an important room or main door in the north or south in your home or office, make sure you place your annual cures to avoid problems, we all need to do this as with the #3 star visiting the north palace this causes many arguments and legal problems so please make sure you follow the flying star advice.

Single Rats can expect exciting times with romance this year, especially those born in 1960 (metal Rat) and even expect wedding plans, if you are a married or committed Rat you should be careful not to neglect your partner as with a successful year this can easily happen; so make lots of time to spoil them. Although the year will be good, you can expect some jealousy from colleagues or friends and they may try and back stab you by making you look bad by telling lies, just be careful of who you thought were friends. Overall 2011 will be a superb year although you need to be careful with your health, make sure your diet is good and drink plenty of water as problems with the stomach may occur particularly if you are a water Rat born in 1972. The east is severely afflicted in 2011 as we have Tai Sui here for the year but it is also combined with the malicious #5 star that can cause many legal and wealth problems and cures are needed here with a Shuang Yan Yu Fu Buddha which works in synergy with the west Buddha needed this year and one that we have included in our 2011 annual cures kit as standard. With Tai Sui, you may rely on him for support in that you may sit with him in the east and face the west. Do not confront him by undertaking any renovation or construction work in the east or by sitting in a position that is directly opposite him (west). In 2011, this means do not sit with your back to the west facing east even if this is your best direction. Most traditional Chinese families will place a gold coloured Pi Yao in the east of the home facing west to appease Tai Sui or if your main door is located in the east, place the Pi Yao just inside the door facing west. You should also place a salt water cure and six coins in a row in the east, these are essential in 2011.

Sui Po is located in the west in 2011 (The year breaker)

Sui Po year breaker occupies the division directly opposite Tai Sui Grand Duke, which for 2011 is west. You should treat this area the same as the other annual afflictions with no groundbreaking work, renovations or any noisy activities. If disturbed this area can and normally will cause immediate health problems especially for the elderly, so please be very careful. Traditionally to appease Sui Po in a Rabbit year you need to display a sheng chi cure in the west in 2011, we have included one in our 2011 cures kit. If you read most almanacs for 2011 the predictions are not great for the Ox but play your cards right and follow all the advice here along with the annual flying stars 2011. 2011 can be good for wealth, career and general luck but you need to be careful and work hard. Ox born in 1971 need to be careful in relationships especially if they are married, spend more time this year with your partner as your potential success for the year can cause you to overlook people that are important and this will cause you problems. Unmarried Ox born in other years can expect new relationships and can even expect to rekindle existing ones that may have appeared to die out a long time ago. Some Tigers may be glad 2010 is over; overall they have a year to look forward to in 2011, so make hay this year and reap the rewards. This will be a year of romance, career, wealth and many other opportunities, all sounds too good to be true? There will be a few drawbacks that you need to be aware of but providing you take the advice given below, you will enjoy a good year.

It is a year of mixed energies for male and female Tigers although on the whole it will be very good especially if you compare it to last year. Married Tigers especially those born in 1950 & 1962 need to be careful and resist temptation (the grass is not always greener) of the opposite sex, single tigers should not take risks in relationships this year and let your confidence shine through as “peach blossom” for romance is very strong.
